Interesting Quote: Jerry Falwell Jr.

If some of those people in that community center had what I have in my back pocket right now …Is it illegal to pull it out? I don’t know…I’ve always thought that if more good people had concealed-carry permits, then we could end those Muslims before they walked in and killed them.
He said this during the Liberty University’s convocation (he's president of the school). The students went wild.

Stupidity reigns in Mississippi - 52% believes Obama is a Muslim

This is not a surprise, but it's so sad. In the deep parts of the South, many of them still believe Obama is a Muslim.
In the midst of tight GOP primaries in both states, Public Policy Polling (PPP) has released information showing that a majority of likely GOP primary voters in the Deep South do not see Obama as a Christian. PPP's Alabama survey of 600 likely GOP primary voters found that only 14 percent consider Obama a Christian, while 45 percent said he is a Muslim and 41 percent answered that they were not sure.

A similar picture surfaced in Mississippi. Of 656 likely GOP primary voters surveyed, 12 percent said Obama was a Christian, 52 percent classified him as a Muslim, and 36 percent fell in the "not sure" category.
Why must the South continue to live up to the stereotypes?

Meet the Silver Scorpion, a new Muslim Superhero

Inspired by Obama's outreach to the Muslim world and the Open Hands Intiative, a non-profit organization, a new superhero is born.

Here's the Silver Scorpion!
The superhero's appearance hasn't been finalized, but an early sketch shows a Muslim boy who lost his legs in a landmine accident and later becomes the Silver Scorpion after discovering he has the power to control metal with his mind.

Sharad Devarajan, co-founder and CEO of Liquid Comics whose company is now turning the young people's ideas into pictures and a story line, said the goal is to release the first comic book — launching the disabled Muslim superhero — in early November in both Arabic and English.
Snyder says he was inspired by President Barack Obama's effort to reach out to the Muslim world in his January 2009 inaugural address. Last month, Snyder flew 12 disabled Americans to Damascus to meet their Syrian peers, and one of their main goals was to come up with ideas and story lines for the new superhero.

"The only limit was the imagination these kids had — the opportunity for a great story," said Snyder, a comic book collector who heads HBJ Investments LLC. "They helped create something by their combined talents, and that becomes a gift to the world."

Cheers for Liquid Comics for breaking the mold. Please check out their comics and their website.

Pastor Terry Jones has Called Off the Quran Burning Event

Well, look a here. The Loony King has ceased the Quran burning event this weekend.

Word has it that Terry got a call from Secretary Gates and they chatted for a bit. Then, later today, Terry called it off.

The pastor's announcement came after a growing chorus of demands, from President Obama to religious leaders, American generals and others, that he cancel the event planned for Saturday because of the potential impact on Christian-Muslim relations and the effect a Koran burning would have on American troops fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq. Earlier in the day, President Obama said that the pastor's plan to burn the Koran on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks was a “stunt” that violates American principles of religious tolerance.

“If he’s listening, I just hope he understands that what he’s proposing to do is completely contrary to our values as Americans,” Mr. Obama said in an interview shown Thursday on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” referring to to Mr. Jones.

The pastor's announcement that he was canceling the Koran burning was the latest twist in a series of events that had propelled Mr. Jones to worldwide notoriety and raised deeper concerns about festering extremism in the United States.

And more surprising than the announced cancellation of the burning was the pastor's allusions to an agreement with the imam. But details of any agreement remained elusive.

Newsweek Poll shows that Most of the GOP are Idiots

These poor people are uber-ridic. The majority of the GOP believe that President Barack Obama "sympathizes with the goals of Islamic fundamentalists who want to impose Islamic law around the world."

See a piece right here:
A full 14 percent of Republicans said that it was "definitely true" that Obama sympathized with the fundamentalists and wanted to impose Islamic law across the globe. An additional 38 percent said that it was probably true -- bringing the total percentage of believers to 52 percent. Only 33 percent of Republicans said that the "allegation" (as Newsweek put it) was "probably not true." Seven percent said it was "definitely not true." The rest (eight percent) either didn't know the answer or didn't read the question.
And

Fifty-nine percent of Republicans, for instance, said they believed the president favored "the interests of Muslims over other groups of Americans," while only 34 percent of said he had been "generally even handed" in his approach. In contrast, nine percent of Democrats said Obama favored "the interests of Muslims over other groups of Americans" while 82 percent of Democrats said he had been even-handed.

Who are these people? I feel like these people are not real. How can anyone be so lost? Goddess, what happened to our education system? Or better yet, what happened to common sense?

Anti-Gay and All Around Fool, Pastor Bill Keller wants a "9-11 Christian Center" at Ground Zero

The fools are on tap about this Mosque issue.

Super Bigot, Pastor Bill Keller wants a Christian Center at Ground Zero.

This is what he had to say from his site:
How do you battle the darkness? With the LIGHT! I watched in disbelief a
few weeks ago as they announced the Muslims would be building a $110 million
mosque just a few blocks from where their Muslim brothers perpetrated the
greatest act of terror on US soil in history, deliberately flying planes
into the World Trade Center towers, knocking them down and killing 3,000
innocent souls in the process. The gall, the arrogance, the audacity of
this false relgion of violence, hate, and death to build their temple to
satan just blocks from that hallowed ground.

Islam is a 1400-year-old lie from hell, dreamed up by Mohammed after being
visited by angels of satan in his sleep. "Allah" is an imaginary god that is
actually a black rock and is NOT the God of the Bible! Islam has advanced
this false relgion for 1400 years through violence, hatred, and death. The
greatest difference between Christianity and Islam is that you are born into
Islam, or threatened with death to become a Muslim. You become a Christian
by making the free-will choice to accept Jesus Christ by faith!

After I got over being angry, I got on my knees in prayer. I knew God was
calling me to do something, but what? After many hours, I realized it would
not be another "big event," that just hours after it was over people would
be back to their lives and nothing would have been accomplished. We have
all been to and seen "big events," and nothing ever changes. No, this had
to be more than an event, but an ongoing mission to combat this new evil
being constructed near ground zero which would bring people the Truth of
God's Word and the love and hope of Jesus Christ.

I am excited to announce today the birth of the "9-11 Christian Center at
Ground Zero" on Sunday, September 5th. The mission is simple. Have a place
at ground zero where people can come to hear the real uncompromised Truth
right from God's Word, and find the only true hope there is, faith in Jesus
Christ!!! We will combat the lies of this world and Islam with the TRUTH.
We will combat the hatred of this world and Islam with LOVE. We will combat
the violence of this world and Islam with PEACE. Finally, we will combat
eternal death this world and Islam brings with LIFE EVERLASTING!!!
His site is full mess and he is determined to push this forward. If you want, just take a look at his crap. He is disgusting.

Pastor Terry Jones is an Asshole

This man needs to be frozen in toilet water for life.

Pastor Terry Jones has organized an "International Burn a Quran Day" on September 11. And this fool has asked some militia to protect his silly church.

The Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida, says it is hosting the event to remember 9/11 victims and to take a stand against Islam. With promotions on its website and Facebook page, the nondenominational church invites Christians to burn the Muslim holy book.

Dove's Facebook page, set up for the September event, has nearly 6,000 fans. The initiative has also drawn critics.

Dove World Outreach Center Pastor Terry Jones has accepted the support of Right Wing Extreme, which he said offered to come to the church with between 500 and 2,000 men on September 11. He described the organization as an armed civilian militia group.

"There is a need for this protection. It is absolutely necessary in light of the death and terror threats we have received," Jones said in an e-mail to CNN.

"We have met with the FBI who have warned us of the threats they have seen, not only against us but against other targets in Florida. We have personally received threats by phone and many by mail," he said.

No one from Right Wing Extreme was immediately available to comment on Tuesday.

Terry, you need your ass whooped.

Interesting Quote: Bryan Fischer

Bottom line: you want to know who's now running the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy and the Marines and calling the shots where it counts? Fundamentalist Muslims and homosexual activists.

Really? I thought it was Daleks and Sweet Transvestites

Dan Savage promotes "First Annual Everybody Draw Mohammed Day"

So Dan Savage is promoting this, "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day" in lieu of the death threats to the South Park creators.

Quickie update: South Park creators depicted Mohammad in a Bear suit in an episode.

Alright, well, the creators moved the episode online to not offend folks, however Dan has posted this on his blog.
I'm not a fan of this. I feel it will cause more drama. And Dan, he should know better. But then again, it's Dan Savage.
