Is Rebar NYC Discriminating against People of Color?

Black gay social media is buzzing about this NYC club.

According edugaytion.com, several Black men discussed their experiences at Rebar NYC. Check it out:
Recently, there has been discussion across social media surrounding Rebar NYC, the new gay bar in Chelsea (situated in the spot where G Lounge once existed). It was not until just this weekend that we noticed a lot of talk about the venue with regard to its admissions policies and practices.

On numerous accounts, since the hangout spot has opened, there have been accusations of unfair, prejudice and even racist actions on behalf of the establishment. A bit of investigation lead us to multiple users with similar experiences over the span of a week, since the bar opened for business. According to the ongoing discussion surrounding Rebar NYC, the business is telling POC patrons who are waiting in line that capacity has been reached when, in fact, the bar is nowhere near its full occupancy limit. Many have speculated that, actually, the bar had reached its 'black limit.' This, on top of mounting discussions surrounding Rebar NYC's marketing strategy (see picture above) and how the new social venue is attempting to white wash out what little POC presence its predecessor, G Lounge, had.

After catching wind of these disturbing allegations against Rebar NYC, we decided to reach out to their management for a statement. A self identified manager of Rebar NYC said over the phone:

'We have no statement. The situation is not real... We're not going to give it credence at all...'

And when asked to expound upon 'the situation':

'We do not want to expand upon that. If we did, we would do it online.'

Racism and Old Navy

Why do racists continue to be dumb?

This fool had to respond to this Old Navy tweet in this manner. Folks dragged her for it, but the audacity of the girl is something... just something.

I guess this pic really bothered her, scared her and cursed her soul to hell.

So sad to see this continue in this day and age

The Super Bowl Ad we Should've Saw

This ad was stopped by the NFL a few years ago.

It addressed the matter involving Native Americans and the use of the term 'Redskins'on a national Football team. Clearly, it's offensive, but many folks believe it's okay to continue this foolishness.

Please check it out

Donald Trump tweets Racist Data that is Completely Fake

Typical Donald Trump.

If he was smart he would've realized that these numbers are wrong AF, there is no Crime Statistics Bureau, and the data is completely farce. The Daily Beast reports:
The image alleges that 97 percent of African-Americans were killed by African Americans, while only 1 percent of murdered African-Americans were killed by police. These two statistics are demarcated from the rest in blue and red ink respectively. It also claims 81 percent of whites who are killed are killed by blacks, which is pure race-baiting at its most ignorant. The numbers in this erroneous image are attributed to the “Crime Statistics Bureau - San Francisco,” and reflect 2015 data.

For one thing, a “Crime Statistics Bureau” does not exist. The FBI is responsible for this data and they have yet to release a report on 2015, because, well 2015 is not over yet.

Secondly, whoever made that image did so with the intent of lying about the percentage of white Americans killed by black Americans. In 2014, that number was 14 percent, not 81 percent.

Additionally, in Trump’s graphic, only 16 percent of whites are killed by other whites. In the same FBI report, it clearly states that 82.3 percent of whites are in fact killed by other whites, which is very similar to the number of blacks killed by blacks (89.9 percent).
Again, Trump tweets a bunch of lies, but his stupid followers will believe it.

University of Missouri System president Resigns Amid Protest over Racist Incidents

If you haven't heard, University of Missouri has been dealing with some serious sh#t.

Black students and local activists has been protesting about the racist incidents on their campus for over two months.

Mediate reports:
Black students, as reported by Boston Globe, have been complaining for months about slurs and a series of prejudicial incidents around the school, and that the school wasn’t taking enough action to address the issue through policy reform. These incidents prominently included a swastika that was drawn on school property, and students being threatened with pepper spray for protesting.
Their president Tim Wolfe handled issues very poorly, to the point that the students went on a Hunger strike. Then over the weekend, the football team went on strike, demanding for Wolfe to be fired.
Here's a recap video

Later on Tom Wolfe resigned

Matthew Dempsey: I'm Gay, White & Racist - VIDEO

Psychotherapist Matthew Dempsey talks about racism and owning his racist views. He also talks about how the gay community fetishizes people of color.
Matthew says:
Growing up gay and feeling like an outlier for most of my life easily lends itself to greater empathy for others who've felt the same. My experience also lends itself to the illusion that I couldn't possibly continue discriminating against others, including people of color. Watch my latest video on how I own racism in an effort to heal.

Mike Huckabee: God solved Racism

After Nikki Haley's presser, Mike... Well, Mike was being Mike and said:
“I keep hearing people saying we need more conversations about race. Actually we don’t need more conversations. What we need is conversions because the reconciliations that changes people is not a racial reconciliation, it’s a spiritual reconciliation when people are reconciled to God. When I love God and I know that God created other people regardless of their color as much as he made me, I don’t have a problem with racism. It’s solved!”
Of course it is, even though 9 people were killed over race. But hey, Mike, you're right. "It's Solved!:

Interesting Quote: Sean Zevran

I believe racism in the porn industry is reflective of racism in society. The industry is notably more challenging for black and Asian male models. Furthermore, distinguishing between racism and preference is difficult, and many producers find themselves wrestling with diversity vis-à-vis profits. It's difficult to politicize sexuality, e.g. sexual desires and preferences, but I believe producers can do more to remedy racism by not being so afraid to challenge the status quo. We need to see more of that. I believe a lot of our sexual preferences have to do with social conditioning, and carrying on the status quo only perpetuates racism.

University of Oklahoma Scandal: Fraternity Leader apologies for the Racism Slur

The University of Oklahoma frat racism story has rocked the country. Since the incident went viral, the SAE frat has been removed from the university, the two students have been expelled, their house mother has been exposed, the football team and many students have protested.

But that's not all. One of the main fraternity leaders in the scandal, Parker Rice, has written an apology.

He wrote:

“I am deeply sorry for what I did Saturday night. It was wrong and reckless. I made a horrible mistake by joining into the singing and encouraging others to do the same. On Monday, I withdrew from the university, and sadly, at this moment our family is not able to be in our home because of threatening calls as well as frightening talk on social media.

“I know everyone wants to know why or how this happened. I admit it likely was fueled by alcohol consumed at the house before the bus trip, but that’s not an excuse. Yes, the song was taught to us, but that too doesn’t work as an explanation. It’s more important to acknowledge what I did and what I didn’t do. I didn’t say no, and I clearly dismissed an important value I learned at my beloved high school, Dallas Jesuit. We were taught to be ‘Men for Others.’ I failed in that regard, and in those moments, I also completely ignored the core values and ethics I learned from my parents and others.

“At this point, all I can do is be thoughtful and prayerful about my next steps, but I am also concerned about the fraternity friends still on campus. Apparently, they are feeling unsafe and some have been harassed by others. Hopefully, the university will protect them.

“For me, this is a devastating lesson and I am seeking guidance on how I can learn from this and make sure it never happens again. My goal for the long-term is to be a man who has the heart and the courage to reject racism wherever I see or experience it in the future.

“Thank you for your consideration of my deepest apologies for what I did.”

Sadly, the story is far from over. There will be more to come.

Rep Kyle Tasker wants to Join Black Caucus because He's a fan of Rap Music

New Hampshire Rep. Kyle Tasker is a fool!

He had an issue with the conservative American Legislative Exchange Council hosting the National Black Caucus of State Legislators in Dallas.

This is what happened:
On Wednesday, New Hampshire Rep. Kyle Tasker expressed his disbelief that the conservative American Legislative Exchange Council had hosted the National Black Caucus of State Legislators at ALEC's annual meeting in Dallas this week.

"How do I join the white caucus of state legislators?" Tasker asked, in response to a post by Jordan Ulery, a fellow Republican in New Hampshire's state house.

"Caucuses are merely groups of people with similar likes/dislikes," Ulery helpfully explained in response to Tasker. "Personally I long for the day of character, not color being again the guiding principle."

"Yea that was kind of my point," Tasker replied. "So what are the likes/dislikes of the black caucus that precludes white people from joining? I'm fond of rap music..."

Tasker then posted a link to a music video for "Country Grammar," a Nelly song.
Umm, how did this idiot get into office? Seriously, voters who just vote without thinking should be arrested. And this Kyle Tasker, tarred and feathered for his stupidity.
