Interesting Quote: Newt Gingrich
“I believe that marriage is between a man and woman. It has been for all of recorded history and I think this is a temporary aberration that will dissipate. I think that it is just fundamentally goes against everything we know.”
This is the mess he is saying in Iowa today.
Big News about Jem and the Holograms at the New York Comic Con!
The voice of the iconic Jem, Samantha Newark, had a lot to say about her and what the future has in store for the 80s cartoon:
"I know that Hasbro is revealing something big that has to do with Jem at the New York Comic-Con in a couple of weeks. We are all waiting to see what they have up their sleeve. I am like everybody else. Just waiting to see what happens."I would love to see Jem come back, it was way ahead of its time and had such a great message. I'm actually thinking about going to NYCC just to hear the news! Oh, and by the way... I WANT TO BE A WRITER ON THE MOVIE!
Samantha Newark is optimistic that the announcement will have to do with the physical return of Jem and the Holograms, not just the current and upcoming products that will be on display according to the official Hasbro press release in regards to NYCC 2011. But she has no idea if it is actually the long rumored movie or something else.
"No one has said anything about a live action movie yet, because no one knew what was going on with the franchise for a long time. It has been a big mystery, and it still is. I would hope that they kept some of the same writers on board, just to keep the tone of it. Who knows? I'm not sure what they have planned. I thought it would be cool if they did a really cool animated feature film, so that all of the actors could revive their roles. We're all not 85 years old, and we all still sound good. I think that would be really cool."

HOT RUMOR: Idris Elba, the Next James Bond?
My Lord! I just read this piece on my other boo, Idris, and how rumors are spreading about him being James Bond.
Check it out:
source
Check it out:
Interestingly, even though he's hidden his accent to play Americans for many of the most high-profile roles of his career, chatter has circulated for years that Elba could one day wind up playing one of the most iconic British film roles there is: James Bond.If he was given the opportunity to play Bond, I will get in line right now to see this film... Well, not now, but soon.
"It's a rumor," he says flatly. But does that mean you should dismiss it out of hand? Not necessarily. Elba says he recently talked about the role with his father and said that while it sounded like an interesting idea, he had concerns. "I just don't want to be the black James Bond," he says. "Sean Connery wasn't the Scottish James Bond, and Daniel Craig wasn't the blue-eyed James Bond, so if I played him, I don't want to be called the black James Bond."
That doesn't, of course, really answer the most interesting question: What would he do if they asked him? At first, he's noncommittal. "I"d definitely consider it," he says. But when Linda Wertheimer presses the issue — if Sony called, would he get in a cab to take the meeting? — he can't resist.

Wal-Mart now has Transgender Protections for their Employees
Wow, I'm surprised to hear this about Wally World.
Bentonville, Ark.-based Wal-Mart has added gender identity to their list of protected categories for employees.Maybe others will follow?
Wal-Mart, the nation's largest retailer, already has protections for LGB employees. The additional transgender protections were praised by the Human Rights Campaign.
“What matters in the workplace is how you do your job, not your gender identity or sexual orientation,” HRC President Joe Solmonese said in a press release. “As the nation’s largest private employer, Wal-Mart shows that doing the right thing is also good for business. We urge them to continue to move forward by ensuring all of their LGBT employees receive equal benefits.”

My Rant: Is Maxine Waters & Tavis Smiley stirring up Drama in the Black & Gay Communities?
So, I was reading a few articles and I noticed how certain members of the Congressional Black Caucus are hounding Obama over his speech last weekend.
The president was giving one of rallying speeches and challenged the CBC to start fighting and stop complaining. Well, the media ran this news to the ground, claiming he was attacking the Black community, which he wasn't it. But my issue is with what Maxine Waters and Tavis "I'm Jealous" Smiley had to say afterwards.
After Obama's speech, Maxine said this:
Then Tavis said this:
What concerned me was how they pointed out the LGBT community. While I understand where they were coming from, I had problem with them specifying how Obama didn't harp on our community. They should know the rift between the Black and Gay community. Using their voice to point that out could cause more issues. For example, some folks will take their statements as "Obama cares more for the gays than Blacks".
Again, I understand their frustrations, but they should be aware of how that argument could spark up some more mess between the communities. I still believe the CBC should fight harder and stand up against the Tea Party/GOP foolishness. However, this 'detour' from Maxine and Tavis is just another way of walking away from the truth. I expect better from those two.

Black Gay Youths turn to Gangs for Support & Protection
The lack of gay male role models and consistent bullying has brought young gays together in a not-so-great way... A gay gang:
To hear the leader of Check It tell it, there may be some truth to both.
“I just got tired of people beating on me and calling me faggie,” Tayron Bennett, 21, told me recently. He’d helped to organize Check It while a student at Hine Junior High School. Other gay youths from his Trinidad neighborhood in Northeast soon joined, followed by gay youths from throughout the city.
D.C. police estimate that Check It has a core membership of about 20 and counts between 50 and 100 others as “associates.”I really hope someone reach out to them fast. The bullying and abuse has pushed these youths to take matters into their own hands and that could be dangerous. I don't want this gay gang notion to cost them their lives.
“At first, I tried fighting bullies one-on-one, but they don’t fight fair; they fight two and three on one,” Bennett said. So the youths got together and “started carrying mace, knives, brass knuckles and stun guns, and if somebody messed with one of us then all of us would gang up on them.”
Please read the rest of the article and pass it on.

A Gay Love Triangle on 'Glee'?
Well, it maybe be over before it starts. A new "villain" may cause heartbreak for Kurt and Blaine (Lord, I hate that name).
Michael Ausiello has the story:
Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that Glee has tapped up-and-coming theater actor Grant Gustin to play the recurring role of Sebastian, a gay Dalton Academy Warbler who sets his sights on Blaine.
Both Fox and the show’s producers declined to comment, but the buzz is that Sebastian is the polar opposite of Kurt in every possible way. He’s more like the male version of Santana in that he’s both promiscuous and kinda-sorta scheming.Maybe this may give "Kurtofsky" a fighting chance?
“He’s our villain this season,” an insider tells me. “It’s a major role.”
VIDEOS: UC Berkeley Protest the Racist Bake Sale
At UC Berkeley, the College Republicans hosted a "racist" bake sale with cupcakes and pastries priced by gender and race like, cupcakes priced at $2.00 for white men and $1.00 for Latinos.

Marvel Comics next big thing: Point One
Marvel Comics has something big coming and it may change everything. Their big event is known as, POINT ONE
Here's more:
"POINT ONE is a massive one-shot of 64 all-new pages of story by the top creators in the business, setting the stage for the biggest stories coming in 2012. It is the starting point to what’s in store for the world’s most iconic characters and startling events. POINT ONE serves as the launch pad for dynamic new series, the return of fan-demanded characters, and a shocking teaser that will have everyone talking. See how all it comes together in one gigantic epic!”
I think I know one particular return... J__n G__y
Anjin Anhut creates an All-New, All-Different X-Men!
The X-Men are mutants... Pretty mutants, actually. But Anjin takes an different approach to our favorite mutants.
Mutants are outcasts of society finding solace, company and purpose in Xavier’s school for gifted youngsters. So my goal was to make their mutations not only very visible, but to a certain degree disfiguring. Something that renders them to be freaks on the surface, so that they can show their humanity in their deeds.
Cyclops doesn’t wear the cool as hell glasses, but has his face tissue damaged by the force of his eye blasts and his head is illuminated from within, rendering his skull visible.source
Marvel Girl’s telepathic and telekinetic powers manifest in a deformed head containing an oversized mutated brain. She is shown as a young and fragile girl to illustrate the non-physical aspects of her power.
Beast always was one of the most disfigured xmen anyway, so there wasn’t much to change. I upgraded his hands, giving him 2 opposable thumbs, so it goes along with his hand-like feet.
Iceman, since he can create any shape from water particles in the air, I felt like he could have any form he likes.
Angel always confused me. He was often used to illustrate the desire of becoming normal, in the movie,in the comics. He always was the one wanting to look normal, while being the one xmen, who actually mutated into something that many people would worship and find beautiful. So I made him appear more bird like, and turned his name “Angel” into less of an accurate description and more into a nickname.
Question of the Day: Gay Sex Edition
Are events like Folsom Street Fair, Dore Alley and other similar events still relevant? Do they serve a purpose?
I'm mixed on the matter. But what do you think?
New Web Series - 'Osiris'
A new creative web series is here and it's kind a cool. It's called 'Osiris':
“Osiris” is a new 10-episode indie scifi/thriller web series featuring gritty crime fiction, espionage and the supernatural. Much of its inspiration comes from classic network shows such as Lost, True Blood and 24.
The series follows the title character Osiris, a man with an eternally extended warranty on life. He can never die. If he’s shot, he comes back. If he’s stabbed, comes back. Even if he’s blown up, he comes back…in exactly 37 minutes, every time, in excruciating pain. This has been happening for over 300 years.
He’s become a cocky, tough-as-nails, suave womanizer that treats people like dirt because everyone he’s known eventually dies. All except for one person, his great great granddaughter, Paula. She’s one of the few people that know of his unique gift of immortality. She’s also one of the only people that can keep him in check.

Stephen King has a Sequel to 'The Shining'
I always wondered what happened to Danny Torrance, the little boy with psychic powers in 'The Shining'. Well, Stephen King has a surprise for us... a Shining sequel!
While accepting the Mason Prize at George Mason University this weekend, novelist Stephen King gave fans a peek at a sequel to his classic novel, The Shining.Yes, bitch! And here is a clip of him reading a piece of the new book.
Above, we’ve embedded a short video clip from the event. Follow this link to read more about all the topics King discussed while receiving the award–past recipients included Chinua Achebe, Dave Eggers and Greg Mortenson.
Here’s more about the reading: “Doctor Sleep, his upcoming novel about a grown-up Danny Torrance from The Shining. Unfortunately, he runs afoul of a gang of wandering psychic vampires who feed on people’s energy.”

DC Comics' Rebooted Starfire: "Hello, I'm an Alien Harlot, how are you?"
In the mix of the New DC 52, another female character got the whore-remix. The victim is Starfire.
Starfire is a member of the Teen Titans and a very attractive alien. Many of us comics geeks know that Kory (her name) is strong, very passionate and friendly. However, in the reboot, she's a Sci-Fi version of some 'Gossip Girl' character.
She's like, "Look at my boobies" "I pose like I'm dirty" "Hello, I'm a Harlot, how are you?"
This look is not what many of us love about Kory and I hope DC Comics is aware of it. In fact, here's a comic short to address this (Thanks io9)

Haters claimed they have enough Signatures to put SB 48 on the 2012 Ballot
So the haters claim they have enough signatures to put SB 48 on the ballot.
Here's the scoop:
"Stop SB 48," the group that wants to repeal a state law that allows California students to learn about important people in history who were gay, claimed in an email to supporters yesterday afternoon that its petition drive for a ballot measure will be successful.Interesting, considering the methods this group used to gather signatures. Just look at this clip of how this tramp was gathering signatures.
"The signed petitions are coming in at an incredible rate -- tens of thousands a day," the email reads. "It looks like we are going to make the goal of more than 500,000 valid signatures all delivered to our Sacramento office by October 10."
There needs to be a investigation on this.
President Obama Condemns the Booing of the Gay Soldier during the GOP Debate
President Obama was not pleased by the booing of the gay soldier during the GOP debate. At his latest fundraiser, Obama said:
You've got audiences cheering at the prospect of somebody dying because they don't have health care and booing a service member in Iraq because they're gay. That's not reflective of who we are. This is a choice about the fundamental direction of our country. 2008 was an important direction. 2012 is a more important election."source
New GOP Low - The Candidates are seeking Donald Trump's Approval
This is proof that this group of GOP candidates are a joke. Now they are looking for Trump's approval? Somebody pray for them:
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney is the next presidential hopeful scheduled to meet with Trump, on Monday in New York. Texas Gov. Rick Perry dined with Trump earlier this month at a fancy Manhattan restaurant. Sarah Palin, still toying with a potential presidential bid, shared pizza with Trump and his wife, Melania, in Times Square last spring. Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann visited Trump's penthouse atop the Trump Tower in July.
Trump even sent a videotaped message to the Faith and Freedom Coalition forum in Florida where all the major GOP contenders spoke Thursday.
Sean Maher (Simon Tam to us Geeks) is Gay
I just learned this info from the provocative and wonderful blog, I Should Be Laughing; the former 'Firefly' actor Sean Maher is gay.
EW news has the story:
For the first time, Maher opens up about his sexuality in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly. “I was nervous coming here today because I’ve just never talked about it,” Maher says, while sitting down to chat at Little Dom’s Italian bistro in Los Angeles’ trendy Los Feliz neighborhood, the area where the actor lives with Paul, his partner of nearly nine years, and their two children, Sophia Rose, 4, and Liam Xavier, 14 months. “But, it’s so liberating. It was interesting to be coming to have a conversation that I was always afraid to have.” Despite his trepidation, he adds with a big smile: “This is my coming out ball. I’ve been dying to do this.”This is cute. Sean is currently in 'The Playboy Club' as a closeted gay man.
“I’ve never discussed it publicly,” the 36-year-old continues. “I’ve never been asked about it publicly, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t paint a different picture.” Maher says that not coming out wasn’t so much a choice as much as it was a reality of the business when he first came to L.A. fresh out of college back in 1997.

Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger says We (Gays) can't be Monogamous
On Bravo's 'Watch What Happens LIVE', Patti had some interesting things to say about gays, jewish men, queens and monogamy
Some folks called for her show to be canceled, but according to some others... Kinda agree (judging from comments on other blogs). It was stupid how she said it, but is there some truth to her words? I would love to hear what do you think.

Lady Gaga wants to chat with President Obama
Gaga really wants to talk to President Obama. She paid over $35,000, in hopes to talk to him about bullying.
Pop singer Lady Gaga was among the guests at a Silicon Valley fundraiser for President Barack Obama.
The intimate gathering was held under a tent in the yard of Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg on Sunday night. Gaga wore a black, sleeveless gown and high heels, and with her hair piled up she towered over the Silicon Valley elites who were paying up to $35,800 per couple to attend.HuffPo has a little more info:
Gaga attended as a paying guest. She said last week that she wanted to meet with Obama to discuss her concerns about bullying, but it wasn’t clear whether the two would be having that discussion.
The White House traveling press corps pool offered additional information on Gaga's appearance at the event. The pop star sat in a middle table, standing when the President entered. Obama spoke for eight minutes, and did not acknowledge Gaga, but, according to the report, "it seems likely the two crossed paths during greetings inside the house before the dinner."
Given the outfit she was wearing, avoiding Gaga was probably impossible.
"She was wearing a floor-length sleeveless lacey black dress," the pool report relays, "her blonde hair was gathered in a bouffant up-do adorned with a black hair piece with a black veil down the back, which she swept to the side and in front of her left shoulder.
Who's The New Boss in 'The Office'?
Andy!
Here's more from TV Line
Here's more from TV Line
TVLINE | What kind of boss is Andy?
Great question. Andy is a boss who is terrified of being a boss. He is making an overt attempt to step up his game. And just as me the actor, Ed Helms, is feeling pressure and excitement about stepping into a larger role like this, Andy Bernard, the character, is also feeling a hell of a lot of pressure and anxiety. And that is a lot of fun to watch unfold — especially when juxtaposed with James Spader’s fabulous Robert California. Andy has always struggled with a little bit of anger. And he has some real perception gaps; there’s a giant chasm between how he sees himself and how others see him. In some ways, Michael Scott really believed he was a great manager. Andy’s not quite there yet.

MD State Delegate Tiffany Alston Derailed Gay Marriage, then gets Charged for Stealing State Money for her Wedding
This heifer is paying deep for her betrayal to the gay community. In Maryland, Miss Tiffany ditched her support to the gays, by derailing the chance for gay marriage in the state. Well, guess what? She was just caught stealing state money to pay for her stank wedding:
Del. Tiffany T. Alston, 34, a little-known freshman state lawmaker before this spring, is charged with writing herself checks and cashing them to pay for at least $3,560 in expenses for her wedding day. According to the Office of the Maryland State Prosecutor, she also wrote herself checks to help pay the salary of an employee in her law firm.Well, what goes around, comes around tramp! She faces 10 years is prison and a $10,000 fine. I hope she's guilty.
Alston’s wedding, attended by some fellow lawmakers and sorority sisters, was derided this spring by some gay activists. With whispers and shrugs outside Annapolis hearing rooms, some said it was ironic that so close to the celebration of her own nuptials a lawmaker reversed course and opposed letting gays marry in Maryland.
Now, questions about that wedding threaten to bring down the rising Prince George’s lawmaker as quickly as she burst into public view — and further tarnish a county and a state already racked this year by political scandals.

The NFL makes Sexual Orientation a Protected Class
The sports world is coming around. The NFL has put sexual orientation on its list of protected classes. So now an athlete can come out and not feel threaten that he could get fired.
A new collective bargaining agreement from the NFL Players Association states that, "There will be no discrimination in any form against any player by the Management Council, any Club or by the NFLPA because of race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or activity or lack of activity on behalf of the NFLPA."This is a good move for the NFL.
Olsen discovered the change after comparing the latest version of the agreement to the last one in 2006, which didn't include the words, "sexual orientation." The new agreement was ratified by the players on August 4 and signed by the commissioner the next day. It lasts until 2021.
Three former NFL players have come out after leaving the sport behind — Esera Tuaolo in 2002, Roy Simmons in 1992, and David Kopay in 1975. But none has lived openly while still playing.

Interesting Quote: Scott Lively
I'm not saying here that Christians are without hope of overcoming the challenge before us. Nothing, after all, is impossible with God. What I am saying is that we cannot possibly win, especially at this late stage of the game, if our "heroes" continue to fiddle about with the "definition of marriage" and fall all over themselves trying to prove they're not haters by endorsing other, non-marriage-related bits of the "gay" agenda.
We need to stand firmly and unapologetically on the hard truth that homosexuality is not a benign, morally neutral social phenomenon. It is an insidious and contagious form of sexual perversion condemned by God as an abomination. I cringe even writing these words because I know the wrath I am inviting on myself. Still, someone needs to say this boldly and publicly because it is the truth, and only the truth can set us free of the political correctness that has imprisoned us until now.
The homosexual agenda represents an existential threat to Christian civilization and we're in the final phase of the war, losing badly. It all hinges upon you, Christian reader. Either get into the "game" in earnest, immediately, or wave goodbye.
Scott thinks the war against Gays is over... It is, Boo Boo
