Dr. Warren Throckmorton provides a different response to the Day of Silence

The evil organization, Illinois Family Institute and other pro-family groups were trying to dump on the Day of Silence by encouraging folks to walk out during the event.

The sorry groups were so focused on the "gay" thing, they totally missed the point. It's not completely about the gays, it's about bullying and the sadness it cause.

But not all fake Christian groups and folks are that silly, Dr. Warren Throckmorton, professor from Grove City College in Pennsylvania, promoted the Golden Rule Pledge as an another way to deal with the matter. Instead of walking out and avoiding the important piece of the Day of Silence, the pledge encourages Christians to stay in and support.

Throckmorton states,

“Without altering convictions about sexuality, I propose that evangelicals should have something more to contribute than a protest toward the elimination of hostility and aggression against gay people and other people who are viewed as different. Indeed, we should be leading the way to make schools safe and build bridges to those who often equate ‘Christian’ with condemnation.”

Dr. Warren also made a video to support his cause...

It seems like an interesting step to take. I wonder how Dr. Warren's actions will play out.

I think what these asshats are trying to say is that bullying gays is okay.
They are so homophobic that if they even sense that the word "gay" is a part of some function they boycott and stamp their feet in disgust.
It's all so childish.
