“Sorry Charlie” 10 Reasons why Charlie's Angels Failed

I am very happy that Charlie's Angels is canceled. The reboot of the famed series was doomed from the started, but ABC believed it could work. (ha!)

I saw and read the pilot of the show, and honey, I was like "put this bag out on the curb". This show really wasn't strong enough to be on a major network, in fact, it should have been on CW.

Anywho, Charlie's Angels was destined to fall away. And, I think this show failed because of these 10 reasons:
  1. Rebooted TV shows don't work. There have been several rebooted TV shows and most of them have failed. What was cute in the 70s don't do well in the 00s.
  2. The idea was flawed. We had Alias, She Spies and V.I.P. These shows already played the female super spy gig to the last note. CA didn't offer anything new to the genre.
  3. The girls. The super pretty girls gag is old. If the Angels were made up of Michelle Rodriguez, Grace Pack and Zoe Bell, I think the show could go places. These women are beautiful, deadly, and they look the part! A pretty face can't sell everything!
  4. The writing was HORRID!
  5. The show took itself too seriously.
  6. The actresses... Well, they were okay. But they were not strong enough to carry the show.
  7. The stories were nothing to shout about. It's been done and seen before.
  8. The new concept of the Angels' existence was flat out silly.
  9. There was no direction of where the main story was going. More attention seemed to be on their wardrobe than the plot.
  10. The show was put on Thursday nights. Not a wise move from ABC.

NBC Kills Heroes!

Heroes is DEAD!

The Live Feed reports
It's official. NBC has cancelled "Heroes."

The network seriously mulled bringing back the drama for a shortened season to wrap up the serialized show, possibly as a two- or four-hour movie.

In the end, given the cost of the drama, the show's consistently declining ratings and the number of new hour-longs coming to NBC next season, the network decided the UMS-produced series wasn't worth an additional episode order.

Well, as Dr. Frank-n-Furter said: "Don't be Upset, It was a Mercy Killing"

Ugly Betty is Dead!

The gay friendly fashion show is canceled.

I was told it was pretty good (I've never seen it).

Oh well, bye Vanessa (The Only Pageant Queen that Mattered) Williams.

2 more cents on the Adam Lambert Drama

Something just crossed my mind as this whole Adam Lambert drama spills all over the place.

Regardless if he faked a blow job or kissed a guy, the networks sent a strong message to our community.

It feels like they're saying our "affections" are dirty, not suitable for TV or taboo. To blot Adam's kiss, says to me, a gay male kiss is wrong and should not be seen.

Maybe I'm way out on this matter, but I wonder how the LGBT youth are taking this. Some of them are really struggling with their sexuality and looking for some sense of clarity. When the major networks blot out Adam kissing a guy, what do they think that says to the LGBT community?

I truly hope ABC & CBS realized the impact of this foolishness. This could do more harm than good in the long run.

NOOOOOOOOOO! Dollhouse!

I'm sad right now... Dollhouse is canceled.
The network has canceled Joss Whedon's cult fave, which in May beat the odds with a second-season pickup despite low ratings.

The sci-fi series, which is filming episode 11, is expected to finish its 13-episode order.

After some dismal performance this fall, despite the ratings bumps "Dollhouse" got from DVR viewing, Fox benched the show for the November sweep after four episodes.

It is not clear if Fox will air the remaining episodes starting Dec. 4 as planned.

Joss, do NOT work with Fox. Go to SYFY!

And what hurts the most, is crap like Vampire Diaries is still on!

Eastwick is Dead

I saw this coming, but the faux witch series is canceled.
ABC has picked up five more episodes of Tuesday night crime drama "The Forgotten" while deciding against ordering additional episodes of Wednesday's "Eastwick."

The Christian Slater procedural has been the stronger of the duo, both of which are produced by Warner Bros. and air at 10 p.m. "Eastwick" will finish production on 13 episodes and ABC plans to run them all.

Too bad, but it was kinda boring and the "Devil" wasn't sexy enough.

Oh well, nice try, girls.

Fall Season DEATH... Of course it's from the CW

Great news! CW lost one of it's stupid ass shows. TBL The Beautiful Life.

It was a poorly written show about models and loosely based from Ashton Kutcher's life as model. It was sheer mess.
After two episodes, The CW has canceled Ashton Kutcher's scripted drama "The Beautiful Life."

Wednesday's episode was seen by just 1 million viewers and generated a 0.5 rating in the adult demo.

The decision comes on the heels of two reality show pickups by the network, "Fly Girls" and a Tinsley Mortimer docusoap.

Which will also be failures. In the some USC cinema classes, they discuss CW as a disaster zone, it's the perfect case study.

Insiders predict Melrose Place to be next.

Buju Banton... You are OUT

Never cared much for the man that wants us beaten and killed, and apparently, Live Nation don't care either.

They just pulled the plug on his tour, thanks to Chicago's Gay Liberation Network.

Nip/Tuck is TUCK-ED

The show that gave us the sexy-less Julian McMahon, sad lives, and great writing is dead or canceled.

However, it wasn't a true sad ending. The cast has been ready to move on and the creator is doing other things. So this show was dying for some time now. Still some folks were sad about the end.
"It's sad because it feels incomplete," said script supervisor Diana Valentine, who asked the cast to sign her finale script in between takes of shooting the show's last family dinner scene, which included almost every major character. Valentine, who joined the series in its second season, worked on "Beverly Hills, 90210" for its entire run. "It's not the same feeling I had when I was wrapping on '90210'. It feels incomplete, kind of separate. It's very hard."

I thought the "Carver" season was the best and it should've ended then. However, I will be forever thankful for the opportunity to see Mario Lopez's cute little butt.

No Pig Sex for you

Well, after I posted this story on Friday, they canceled it on Saturday. The big sex pig party was canceled due to the 'festivities' happening in the Doubletree Hotel.

Peter LaBarbera of the Americans For Truth About Homosexuality, was totally excited about it of course, expressing his joy on AFTAH site

MAL Maneuvers CANCELLED

As many of you know, extreme Christian groups have been pressuring Doubletree to cancel the “Obama Inauguration Pig Sex Orgy.” For two days, the hotel stood firm while the accusations and falsehoods kept coming in. Just this morning, I told the management of Doubletree how impressed I was that they resisted the calls to shut us down. Unfortunately, the matter escalated to Doubletree Corporate, and the word has come down that they will not allow our event to go on as planned. To say that I am pissed would be an understatement. We have a right to privacy and sexual freedom. I appreciate the efforts of the Centaurs [a D.C. homosexual sadistic sex group] in helping us set this up and fight the cancellation. I want to apologize to each of you who, some who have been with me for 9 years, for having to disappoint you at the 11th hour.

He shouldn't link this to Obama, BTW. However, several gay bloggers and non-bloggers were upset, but y'know...I think in the long run, it may be for the best.

I'm not going to rehash my feelings about this; y'all know I'm not a fan of these things. But I'm realizing that are a rising number of gay men who feel the same way. After reading some comments about this on Joe and Pam's blogs, I finally felt like there were diverse opinions about the issue.

To be really real, I'm surprised that folks were shocked at the cancellation: having a sex party during an huge event, advertising the party like it was a goddamn High School Prom was bound to start trouble. I ain't mad they canceled the party. It was probably the best thing to do. However, Peter and his freaks should not be in our business, but we should not be giving them gasoline to fuel the fire.
