E! News asked SMG if a Buffy movie could be made through Kickstarter?
She said:
"Joss and I always talk about [a movie]. But the thing with Buffy is that Buffy was a movie, and it ultimately didn't work as a film. And I mean, we had such miles to overcome when we were trying to do a TV show based on a movie. And one of the reasons is that the story works better over time. If there was ever the right story, we would do it. At this point, the stake would be my walker and I would be hobbling in."

I feel like she just said it because she they wouldn't let her get through the interview and just talk about her show on CBS w/o mentioning buffy.
I could only watch/want/care for a Buffy movie if it pics up after season 7 and we officially delegate the seasons 8 and 9 comics to non-canon.
Season 8 was great until Joss gave her super powers and Xander started boning Dawn. It only got much much worse at the end. James Marsters started playing himself and was a space captain as if Joss had just seen season 2 of Torchwood
She a republican and I lost all interest in anything she stars in.
