My buddy, Dewitt made some good points in his recent post. He also noted that Steve Grand is not the first gay country singer. Remember Drake Jensen?
I did a post about him awhile back. This guy here is the real deal and he's a pretty good singer.

I could argue that Drake is the first gay Canadian country singer, while Grand is the first American gay country singer.
But everyone forgets about Chely Wright, who came out well before either of these guys.
We could also argue about Randy Travis, who according to several people is closeted.
Maybe one day country music fans will be more accepting, but I doubt it's happening in my lifetime.
