I was reminded by io9, about the time I fell in love with Storm.
Picture it, 1983 in Union City, TN...
My grandmama worked at a drug store called Super D. While I was waiting on her to clock out, I picked up Uncanny X-Men #173 and saw this picture.I thought this woman was fantastic! She was Grace Jones-Warrior -Fashion-Goddess-Super Hero. I was instantly drawn to her and this pic.
You ain't the only one! Storm is the only character I love more than Wonder Woman and Superman. 1.) I thought controlling the weather was the coolest power in the world. 2.) I love strong women. Needless to say I still carry a torch for the beautiful wind rider.
Hmm, I think it might be safe to say Storm was a lot of gay Marvel fans' "favorite" back in the day. I remember this issue oh so well, and Kitty Pride's reaction to Storm Punk transformation. LOL.
Viktor is a small town southern boy living in Los Angeles. You can find him on Twitter, writing about pop culture, politics, and comics. He’s the creator of the graphic novel StrangeLore and currently getting back into screenwriting.

You already know my feelings on her. So, I'm just gonna say Amen to that. ;)
