Family Research Council has Made Up a new Scare Tactic

These folks are stupid, but we already knew that.

Family Research Council has created a silly way to scare folks into giving them money. They sent out a fund-raising alert saying that President Barack Obama wants to “impose homosexuality and silence Christianity in workplaces.” Also how ENDA will ruin the lives of children and My Little Ponies.

Please check out a piece of this mess:

Imagine...

*The government prosecuting a small business owner -- perhaps a Christian bookstore -- for declining to hire an open-homosexual or cross-dresser.

*Your employer telling you to remove the Bible from your desk because it is offensive to the homosexual or cross-dresser he was forced to hire.

*Your church being forced to choose between hiring a man who dresses as a woman to work in the Mother's Day Out or preschool program or facing federal investigation.

*Your teen coming home from his faith-based summer camp and telling you his councilor was an openly-practicing homosexual.

Unimaginable, you say? The government can't force churches to do that, can it?

It can -- if ENDA becomes law.

I love that line "an open-homosexual or a cross-dresser" as if the two are inexplicably linked.

I also love, almost as much as I do the above quote, how the FRC is willing to put the fear of God into some people over this.

In the end it all comes back to this belief among fundamentalist that the more you know about homosexuality the more likely you are to become one, and Lord knows they cannot allow that to happen. If they did the human race would stop right there.
