I don't like Cage, but the amount of unabashedly cheekyness in the writing of that scene is AWESOME! I was unsure, but this gives me confidence in a superhero film that won't be Lowest-Common-Denominator. Yeah, I'm looking at you X-Men 3, Superman Returns & The Spirit.
I've got mixed feelings.
I love Mark Millar, and I love that scene. But I sorta hate they released that clip... taking away some of the shock value.
But on the other hand... it might be a bit much for some people to take. So maybe it's best they put that clip out early, so people can get over the shock of it.
I just hope for the best, and hope it's the 2010 equivalent of 300.
