Sean Hannity "Being Gay Is Not Normal"

On his radio show, Sean Hannity whined about the NFL and gayness.

Here's a sample
"You guys want to tell parents what they can and cannot do. For example, is it gonna become illegal if a parent teaches kids the politically incorrect view that being gay is not normal? Or that the parent says — whatever the parent wants to teach the kid that you would disagree with? I think we’ve gotten to the point where, if we don’t politically correct our kids, we might as well hand our kids over to the government the day that they’re born and let them raise them."

Baltimore Raven's Ray Rice should be a Wake Up call to the NFL's Backward Thinking

Okay, someone help me with this.

In February 2014, there were reports about Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice and his girlfriend Janay Palmer arrest in Atlantic City for assault. There was also a video of Ray dragging, I'll say that again... dragging her out of the elevator (where the fight took place).

Both Ray and Janay had to apologize and even had a press conference about it. Later this tweet was released from the Ravens.

The NFL suspended Ray Rice for only two games.

Now, let's fast forward to this week. TMZ released the entire video of that assault.

Now, this could trigger some issues for you, so please be aware.

Update! Ray Rice has been cut from the team!

Back to those reports I mentioned earlier, the NFL claimed they never saw the full video. If that's the case, how did the reporters see it? The NFL also claimed they asked for the video, but never got it... Hmm, I think they are covering up something.

Why would NFL make Janay sit in a press conference and apologize? Especially, if they didn't have all the info? If anything, Janay shouldn't have been there at all. This was Ray's mess to clean. Putting out there makes it seems that she is blame for her own abuse. Really, NFL, that was a real low!

This is the message the NFL sent to us:
Beat your girlfriend/wife, you can still play football after a two game suspension.

What if he killed her, would that be a full year suspension?

The NFL should be ashamed about all of this. Their actions are basically saying that domestic violence is a minor issue. No biggie, as long as you can play, your good with us.

This message is completely horrible and places women, and men in the crosshairs. Someone in the NFL needs to be fired for this and Ray Rice needs to be released.

Oh and by the way, NFL. This is a distraction and an embarrassment, and Michael Sam isn't.

Will Michael Sam get Drafted?

Yesterday, I watched the NFL Draft pick, and I tell you it was boring as HELL. I knew nothing about the teams, but some of the boys were really cute.

Anywho, I was watching to see if Michael Sam would get picked up. I got a little worried, but I learned from my friend, the Huntress, that Michael probably won't be picked until the final round of the draft or be an un-drafted player.

But he's already getting endorsements, check out this Visa ad

Foolishness Alert! Lobbyist drafts bill to ban gays from NFL - WATCH

WTF?

Washington lobbyist Jack Burkman wants to create legislation that would ban gay athletes from joining the NFL.

Here is Jack's crazy ass statement:
”We are losing our decency as a nation. Imagine your son being forced to shower with a gay man. That’s a horrifying prospect for every mom in the country. What in the world has this nation come to?”

 Pure MESS!

Survey shows Hope for a Gay Football Player

ESPN.com's NFL Nation and ESPN The Magazine created an anonymous survey to see how a gay football player would fair on a team. The results were interesting and a bit hopeful.

  • 51 players responded to four true-false questions on the survey.
  • The survey revealed that most players wouldn't be torn up about it, but would need training on how to deal with an openly gay teammate.
  • 44 players said a teammate's sexual orientation wouldn't matter to them.
  • 39 players said they would be fine showering around a gay teammate.
  • Not so good part:  32 players said they had teammates or coaches who used homophobic slurs last season.
  • 25 players said that a gay teammate would be comfortable in the locker room, but 21 said no, and 5 of didn't answer.

The team or teams will need some type of training or seminar to get them ready. The league will have to get behind this initiative in order for it to be successful. No half-stepping.

High Five Initiative will bring Professional Athletes into LGBT Youth Together

The You Can Play project has something new to ofter LGBT youth. They have started the "High Five Initiative," which has professional athletes working closely with LGBT youth organizations.

This new project kicks off with former NFL players Troy Vincent and Dwight Hollier visiting the Hetrick-Martin Institute, a LGBT youth center.

The High Five Initiative will hopefully grow in the upcoming year, attracting current and former NFL players, as well as pro-sports leagues.

This is a great idea, I hope it works.

Interesting Quote: Joe Namath

"I have friends that are gay. I've worked in theater, I've been in art, you know, for some time. We work shoulder to shoulder. There's a lot of love from me to them, too. That's life, you know. And if you've got a hangup about it, I hope you can get over it because it's real."

NFL Player Asante Samuel doesn't think we (Gays) should flaunt our Lifestyle - WATCH

Lord, new mess to talk about.

Asante was talking from the side of his neck on Fox News Radio. This fool said:
"Straight people are not announcing they're straight, so why does everybody have to announce their sexuality or whatever? You know, what they prefer...So that's just how I see it. That's my opinion on things. All respect you know, I have nothing but respect for the people whoever decisions they make and whatever, but you know, you don't have to show it and flaunt it like that. You know what I'm saying, we have kids out here, too."

Watch here

Asante, I don't think stupid folks should flaunt their lifestyle, but that hasn't stop you at all.

Gordon James Klingenschmitt: Allowing Openly Gay NFL Players Is "A Demonic Use Of The Sporting Industry"

NFL meets with LGBT Rights Groups

The NFL has met with LGBT rights to provide support for gay football players.

HuffPo has the story
Representatives from three LGBT groups -- Athlete Ally, GLAAD and You Can Play -- attended the Wednesday meeting at NFL headquarters in New York City. Former Tennessee Titan Wade Davis, who came out as gay in 2012 after he was done playing professional football, participated as well. They met with Troy Vincent, NFL senior vice president of player engagement, and several other NFL officials.

"We had a productive meeting in our office," Vincent told Outsports. "We embraced the opportunity to review with the groups our policies that prohibit discrimination in the workplace. ... In addition, we also discussed the ability of all personnel, including players, to express their opinions and feelings. We look forward to continuing the dialogue with these organizations and further educating everyone associated with the NFL about the importance of respect and inclusion in the office, the locker room and on the field."
The NHL is also taking big steps to welcome out players. I never thought I would something like this happen so fast. I hope the other major leagues follow suit.

Interesting Quote: Donte Stallworth

"I realize that every day is a gift and you need to do the most with the time that you have. Joining my friend Brendon Ayanbadejo and the other NFL Ambassadors today is my way of helping make our game better. We need to build a support system in the NFL so that every player can be who they are, play their best, and live life to the fullest.”
NFL wide receiver Donté Stallworth joins Athlete Ally and their fight against homophobia in sports.
