Look out, Southerners!
South Carolina court has by-passed their state ban on gay marriage and accepted a marriage license for a same-sex couple.
Charleston County Probate Judge Irvin Condon accepted the license from Charleston County Councilwoman Colleen Condon and her partner, Nichols Bleckley.
Because of SCOTUS's decision this week, Judge Condon said that his court is required to accept and possibly issue marriage licenses. It's a bold move, especially in that state, but I applaud his actions. Now, SC's Attorney General Alan Wilson will continue to fight this, but he should just drop it and let it happen.

Who'da thunk, as Carlos and I prepare to travel 3000 miles to get married, that we might be able to do it in our own backyard very soon?
