Vik, I have a question about this series. I'd heard a while ago that they were developing the Fables comic for a tv series, is this it? If not it's so close that it would derail any success the actual Fables show might have. The premise seems similar but the characters don't match up. Seems to me like Fables would have been better. This feels derivative. Any idea??
Oh and yes I will be watching mainly to see if it is or isn't.
@Allan-You know what?I think this is largely because we only celebrate and pass along fairytales and folklore from primarily European foundations. Why do most kids know all the Greek and Roman Gods and Goddesess, but no African, Native American, Aborigine or Latin ones? Those cultures have fables, stories and tales just as rich as any other. But we only seem to celebrate King Arthur and Zeus. African stories have dragons too, how interesting would it be to see an interpretation of an African Dragon!! Come on Hollywood and our educational systems, there are more cultures out their to find materials from.
SO what did you think Vik?? Definitely NOT Fables. Which to be honest, is too bad. I imagine with each season they'll take on a different evil queen, fairy, goblin or whatever. By the way, weren't the blue fairies breasts a bit RIDICULOUS!!! Gee whiz!!
Viktor is a small town southern boy living in Los Angeles. You can find him on Twitter, writing about pop culture, politics, and comics. He’s the creator of the graphic novel StrangeLore and currently getting back into screenwriting.

Despite the casting of that includes a very generic little boy and a lack of people of color, yes I will give it a go.

Anita Baker said it best or should I say sung it best. NO! Check out Anita's song Fair tales.
I'll give it a go.
