WB picks Ben Affleck to Direct ‘The Stand’

Interesting news... Ben may be making 'The Stand'.
Warner Bros has chosen Ben Affleck to adapt and direct The Stand, Stephen King’s apocalyptic mammoth book. Affleck has become a cornerstone director for the studio, but this would be his greatest challenge yet.
This is good for Ben, but can he pull off one of Stephen King's ambitious works to date? what do you think?

Interesting. I just hope the rumors I've been hearing about Whoopi Goldberg being cast as Mother Abigail aren't true. I love her but cannot see her in that part.

He may not be the best actor Cubby. But I think he has more than proven himself in directing. Will this be a tv series Vik, or a series of movies? Because there is no way to get all that story in one movie.
