Southern Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles are the main leaders against the LGBT Education Bill, SB48. Their goal is to gather 504,760 signatures by October. So far, they are nowhere near that goal. But what they are achieving is a lot negative views.
Their alliance with the haters and bigots have started up the old rift between the African-American community and the LGBT community. I'm highly disappointed in this church because this battle is the only battle they're pulling all the gimmicks for. Our neighborhoods in South LA need money and support, and they put all of their resources in a hate battle?
It's an embarrassment to see this church get so caught up in a battle based on misinformation and lies. It proves that fools fall for anything; and I'm tired of my people being the fool every time. So Southern Missionary Baptist Church, get out of this hate battle and remember your real mission of promoting love and unity.
