Pee Wee's Back!

Love It!

Pee Wee is back, y'all and I'm excited.

"The Pee-wee Herman Show," opening next month in downtown Los Angeles at Club Nokia theater, cost millions to mount. It boasts 11 actors, 20 puppets and marks the show's first production since 1982.

So, why now?

"Well, you know, I really want to make a movie version of 'The Playhouse,' my Saturday morning kid show," Paul Reubens said in an interview earlier this week in which he stayed in his exuberant Pee-wee persona.

"This seemed like a great way to do it: Reintroduce it, get back out there, introduce Pee-wee to the new generation that didn't know about it."

He's been getting great buzz on Twitter and fans are looking forward to the show. Many of the old characters will be back... I wonder if Lawrence Fishburne will make an appearance?

I saw him on The Bonnie Hunt Show this week.
It's good to see him back.
I loves me some PeeWee.

When I was around four or five years old they used to air PeeWee's playhouse on CBS, and I watched it EVERY SATURDAY MORNING. Pee Wee was my idol! I had PeeWee herman t-shirts, dolls, the play house, and I used to get my hair cut to look like his...
Then when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade he got busted for Jackin off in a porn theatre. I didn't even know what Jackin off was back then but I was so terribly sad that he got taken off the air.
I am so glad he's back now. Every kid should witness PeeWee Herman!

How fun!! If it's a success, I wonder if he'll take it on the road. I'd go.
