I think this is some good news. John Thain realized how myopic he was and removed his request for a bonus.
Yesterday, the bastard asked company directors to pay him a 10 million dollars bonus for keeping Merrill Lynch out of the water. That request didn't sit well with anyone, including folks in the government. But all of a sudden, he changed his mind.
I guess the Ghost of I'm Gonna Knock Your Ass Out visited him last night.
