Who Wants to See Hawkman the Movie? (I'm not raising my Hand)

What in the Florence Jean Castleberry is this?

I heard about it before, but I didn't think they were serious. Bleeding Cool found this bit of info about a Hawkman film.
Warner Bros. are in the process of hiring writers for a Hawkman movie, but already have their most basic of basic pitches for the film in place. All this just when we’d been asking “When will Hawkman get his movie?”
Here’s the published logline:
Part INDIANA JONES/DA VINCI CODE, part GHOST tentpole about the fictional superhero that appears in D.C. Comic books. He used archaic weaponry and large, artificial wings attached to a harness made of the Nth metal that allows flight. Most incarnations of Hawkman work closely with a partner/romantic interest named Hawkgirl or Hawkwoman in his fight against supervillains. Based on the DC comic.
Umm, okay. I'm not sure if a Hawkman movie would make money. WB should have learned their lesson from making Jonah Hex (horrid). Just make an epic Wonder Woman flick and call it a day.

A Hawkman Movie? Nobody wants to see a Hawkman movie!

This is some bullsh**!

There are some rumors saying that DC Entertainment wants to make a Hawkman flick.

From io9:
Ahead of next month's big DC Entertainment announcements, rumors about their movies have started appearing all over the place.

Collider has picked up on a rumor that Hawkman will be the next DC superhero to get the movie treatment. Given the continued lack of success of a Hawkman comic - Like Aquaman, he's one of those characters who keeps getting relaunched without ever really gaining a lot of traction in terms of sales - we're unconvinced, but it's not impossible considering former Hawkman writer Geoff Johns being part of DC Comics' movie braintrust. Maybe we should wait and see how popular his upcoming Smallville guest appearance is.

News Flash! Nobody gives a f**k about Hawkman! Stop trying to make lackluster characters movie worthy, when Wonder Woman is still on the backburner!

She should be first and then all the other DC rejects. Stop playing, DC Entertainment!

This better be a rumor!

Hawkman is coming to Smallville

Well, it was the Wonder Twins, now Hawkman!
Here it is! A sneak peek at Michael Shanks in the Hawkman costume he dons for Smallville’s highly anticipated two-hour movie event. Featuring the Justice Society, the special airs February 5, and the second hour is directed by Tom Welling. In between practicing his flying stunts above the Daily Planet rooftop and Chloe’s Watchtower, the Stargate SG-1 alum called me from the Vancouver set to dish on his role.
It seems we’ll be seeing a lot of you soaring through the air, eh?
Yeah. There are a few scenes involving him flying into various sets. One of them is in Watchtower and we’ll also see him on the Daily Planet roof. And at the end of the day, Hawkman takes off his wings and hangs them in the closet.

How’s your flying been going?
Today’s my practice day. There’s no stunt guy, so I need to ace this so I don’t make Hawkman look like a goofball. It’s traditional wire work that involves strapping on this harness so that large men with giant arms can lift me up and manipulate me. I’m also swinging around Hawkman’s giant mace as a weapon.

Interesting, let's see how this goes. More of the interview in the "source" part.
