Dolce & Gabbana goes Anti-Gay and Elton John calls for a Boycott

Real talk, folks.

I don't care about Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, I just don't care about their backwards ass thinking. However, this isn't about me, it's about their foolishness.

Over the weekend, these dolts came out against gay marriage and having kids. These guys think that families should made the the 'traditional way'. Yeah, basically they are bitter and it's showing.

Well, a lot folks were highly pissed at them, including Elton John. He took to Instagram to voice his opinion:

Again, I don't care about them, but I do think this story is just going to get worse.

Interesting Quote: Elton John

The people I met in Moscow – gay men and lesbians in their 20′s, 30′s and 40′s - told me stories about receiving threats from vigilante groups who would ‘cure’ them of homosexuality by dousing them with urine or beating them up. One young man was stalked outside a gay club by someone posing as a taxi driver who tried to garrotte him with a guitar string because he was a “sodomite”. Everyone shared stories of verbal and physical abuse – at work, in bars and restaurants or in the street – since the legislation came into force last June. And, some of the vital work providing HIV prevention information to the gay community has been labelled “homosexual propaganda” and shut down.

It was very clear to me that, although foreigners like myself who are visiting Russia are not affected by this new law (and President Putin has recently confirmed this), it is a very different story for those living inside the country.

Elton John on why He spoke out in Russia

Elton post on his AIDS Foundation site his reasons why he went to Russia and spoke out against their anti-gay law:

“There was a lot of speculation about whether I would go to Russia this year. Many people outside the country thought I should boycott Russia because of its new homophobic legislation. Others said I must go to challenge the government. I decided in the end to be guided by what Russian people wanted me to do. The message, from even the most marginalized Russian groups we work with at the Elton John AIDS Foundation, was ‘please come’. If you don’t come, AIDS workers and LGBT activists told us, we will feel isolated. We will miss having your voice in our debate.

It might be interpreted that you don’t care. Or we may be blamed for keeping you away. In Moscow I spent hours with gay activists, Federal doctors, human rights lawyers and people living with HIV. They told me that since the new legislation has been adopted it’s getting harder and harder to deliver basic HIV information or healthcare to gay men for fear of seeming to ‘promote’ homosexuality, which is against the law. Gay people lie even to their children about their sexuality, in case it jeopardizes their families. That night at my concert I made a statement, directly to the audience, about how sad, shocking and isolating this new law seemed to be. A young woman with a rainbow banner cheered. I realized then, with thousands of Russians cheering for a man they knew to be gay, that I had made the right decision. I believe the Russian people are decent and will be persuaded – but they need to hear us, and see we are human. They can’t do that from a distance of two thousand miles.

A number of celebrities have recently declined to go to Russia, some for fear that it is unsafe. But I say to my friends – we all owe our freedoms to people who took risks with their safety for us, and faced far greater dangers than those confronting a Western artist in Russia. Freedom is worth taking a risk for. Saving people from HIV is worth taking a risk for, and there is nothing that fuels the AIDS epidemic more effectively than stigma and isolation. We’ve learnt that over 20 years of funding HIV programmes around the world, including Russia. As the Winter Olympics approaches, I know lots of sportsmen and artists are facing the same choice that I faced. I realize not everyone will share my view. But personally I hope and pray that prominent people will go to Russia and challenge the wrong thinking of this law. It breeds isolation, mistrust and hate, and cannot be how Russia wants to be known by the world. Thank you to everyone who came to my concerts. And thank you to the people who gave their time to talk to me about HIV and gay rights while I was in Russia. We will continue to support your important, life saving work."

WATCH Elton John Denounces Russia's Anti-Gay Laws on-stage in Moscow

From Bilerico Project
"You took me to your hearts all these years ago and you've always welcomed me with warmth and open arms any time I've visited. You have always embraced me and you have never judged me. So I am deeply saddened and shocked over the current legislation that is now in place against the LGBT community here in Russia. In my opinion, it is inhumane and it is isolating. People have demanded that because of this legislation, I must not come here to Russia. But many, many more people asked me to come and I listened to them. I love coming here.
"I want to show them and the world that I care and that I don't believe in isolating people. Music is a very powerful thing. It brings people together irrespective of their age, their race, their sexuality, or their religion. It does not discriminate. Look around you tonight. You see men, women, young and old, gay and straight. Thousands of Russian people enjoying the music. We're all here together in harmony and harmony is what makes a happy family and a strong society. "The spirit we share tonight is what builds a future of equality, love and compassion for my children and for your children. Please don't leave it behind when you leave tonight. Each and every one of you please, keep this spirit in your life and in your heart. I wish you love and peace and health and happiness. And this show is dedicated to the memory of Vladislav Tornovoi."

Tom Hardy is Elton John

Tom Hardy is going gay in his next big role. He will play Elton John in biopic 'Rocketman'.

This will be very interesting because, I see him as Bane or some worn torn character of trade. To see him as Elton will be crazy and amazing at the same time. Look for the set pics and costumes

Interesting Quote: Elton John

"I’m supposed to be going to Moscow in December. I’ve got to go. And I’ve got to think about what I’m going to say very carefully. There’s two avenues of thought: do you stop everyone going, ban all the artists coming in from Russia? But then you’re really leaving the men and women who are gay and suffering under the anti-gay laws in an isolated situation. As a gay man, I can’t leave those people on their own without going over there and supporting them. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’ve got to go.”

Elton John becomes a Poppa

Elton is a Daddy, in a Father type of way:

The piano man and husband David Furnish have become parents to a 7-pound, 15-ounce baby boy born on Christmas Day. The news was first reported Monday night by USMagazine.com and confirmed to The Associated Press by John's Los Angeles-based publicist.

Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John was born in California via a surrogate, whose identity is being protected by the new parents.

Zachary is 62-year-old John's first child with the 48-year-old Furnish. The couple married in 2005.
In a joint statement, the new parents told USMagazine.com that "Zachary is healthy and doing well" and they are "overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment."
Congrats to the family.

Another Interesting Quote: Elton John

"‘Born This Way,’ which is the title song, will completely get rid of Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive. This is the new ‘I Will Survive.’ That was the gay anthem. This is the new gay anthem. Actually, it’s not a gay anthem — it can apply to anybody.”

Elton John believing Lady Gaga's new song will replace I Will Survive.
Is it that serious?

Interesting Quote: Elton John

"We are all very pleased to be playing in Arizona. I have read that some of the artists won't come here. They are (expletive)wits! Let's face it: I still play in California, and as a gay man I have no legal rights whatsoever. So what's the (expletive) with these people?"

That's Elton slamming other musicians for boycotting Arizona

Guess Who's singing at Rush Limbaugh's Fourth Wedding?

Sir. Elton John.

Why? Honey, I couldn't tell you, just see here:

It's wedding bells for Rush Limbaugh – for the fourth time.

The conservative firebrand, 59, will exchange vows Saturday in Florida with Kathryn Rogers – a blond bombshell half his age – in a lavish Hawaiian-themed wedding bash headlined by none-other-than Sir Elton John.

It's an odd pairing considering El Rushbo's history of anti-gay commentary on his conservative radio show and the openly gay "Tiny Dancer" singer's longtime commitment to gay rights.

The Palm Beach Post reported the British superstar will pocket $1 million for playing the wedding reception at the posh Breakers Hotel.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. This is Rush Limbaugh, a man who is not a fan of gays, Blacks, independent women and just about everything Elton loves.

Very interesting.

Interesting Quote: Mounir al-Wasimi

"How do we allow a gay, who wants to ban religions, claimed that the prophet Eissa (Jesus) was gay and calls for Middle Eastern countries to allow gays to have sexual freedom."

Their reason why Elton John's concert in Egypt could be canceled.

Elton John is helping Eminem kick the habit

When Eminem needs support about his drug problem, he doesn't call Dr. Dre or 50 Cent.

He calls one of the most beloved gays... Elton John.

Yes, Elton has been that strong shoulder for him for some time now.

Talking to Danny Baker on his Radio 5 Live show yesterday, John said it is only possible to counsel addicted friends when they are ready. "I've been helping Eminem in the last 18 months and he is doing brilliantly," he said, going on to refer to his own successful struggle with addiction. "When you give it up, you tend to think everybody else has given it up, but of course it is just as prevalent as it ever was. And nowadays pills, such as downers, are even more damaging."

Eminem has an acknowledged problem with prescription drugs and was treated for a near-fatal methadone overdose. The artist became friends with John after a rocky start. When they met at the Grammy Awards in 2001 John, who has had a civil partnership with David Furnish since 2005, was critical of Eminem's comments about homosexuality. But the friendship became important to Eminem in the run-up to the release of last year's album Relapse.

"[Elton] had a substance-abuse problem in the past. So when I first wanted to get sober, I called him, because he's somebody in the business who can relate to the lifestyle and how hectic things can be," Eminem told a Detroit newspaper last year. "He understands, like, the pressure and any other reasons that you wanna come up with for doing drugs."

Fascinating! Maybe, possibly, he will help Em come out.

Elton John can't Adopt

Sad news for Elton.

He tried to adopt an Ukrainian baby name Lev, however he was told that he was too old and not "married" by traditional standards.

According to the Ukraine ministry, adoptive parents must be married and be a man and woman. They do not accept gay marriage as traditional marriage.

I hope Elton keeps trying. If he and his partner are willing to love and care for Lev, then nothing should stop that. It is foolish to deny a child a loving family.
