Question of the Day

Please tell me why the Confederate flag is still flying in the air? It is a symbol of oppression, treason and failed ideas. This flag has always been and will continue to be a symbol of losers. So, again, why is it still up?

Because of a law passed by the General Assembly in 1962, and another law passed by the General Assembly in 200 which took the flag off the building and stuck it on a flag-pole on the lawn, where it is chained and locked to the pole so it cannot be removed.
Only the General Assembly can move to have the flag taken down and finally, this week, a Republican of all people, wants to pass a bill that takes the flag down forever.
