Baltimore Raven's Ray Rice should be a Wake Up call to the NFL's Backward Thinking

Okay, someone help me with this.

In February 2014, there were reports about Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice and his girlfriend Janay Palmer arrest in Atlantic City for assault. There was also a video of Ray dragging, I'll say that again... dragging her out of the elevator (where the fight took place).

Both Ray and Janay had to apologize and even had a press conference about it. Later this tweet was released from the Ravens.

The NFL suspended Ray Rice for only two games.

Now, let's fast forward to this week. TMZ released the entire video of that assault.

Now, this could trigger some issues for you, so please be aware.

Update! Ray Rice has been cut from the team!

Back to those reports I mentioned earlier, the NFL claimed they never saw the full video. If that's the case, how did the reporters see it? The NFL also claimed they asked for the video, but never got it... Hmm, I think they are covering up something.

Why would NFL make Janay sit in a press conference and apologize? Especially, if they didn't have all the info? If anything, Janay shouldn't have been there at all. This was Ray's mess to clean. Putting out there makes it seems that she is blame for her own abuse. Really, NFL, that was a real low!

This is the message the NFL sent to us:
Beat your girlfriend/wife, you can still play football after a two game suspension.

What if he killed her, would that be a full year suspension?

The NFL should be ashamed about all of this. Their actions are basically saying that domestic violence is a minor issue. No biggie, as long as you can play, your good with us.

This message is completely horrible and places women, and men in the crosshairs. Someone in the NFL needs to be fired for this and Ray Rice needs to be released.

Oh and by the way, NFL. This is a distraction and an embarrassment, and Michael Sam isn't.

I'm so mad at the NFL and Commissioner Goodell right now. There's evidence this video existed during this investigation and now some of the most respected NFL journalists are calling them out for being lied to.

I was going to buy a new Raiders jersey and Madden 15 for my PlayStation, but not now. The only reason Rice got let go is because this video saw the light of day.

Not good enough. I want that liar Goodell gone.

I agree with the Huntress. My question is Why does Janay need to apologize for someone abusing her? Why did she marry him knowing he is abusive? Please tell me she didn't let Money blind her that much
