It had to be the year I went as a prisoner from Alcatraz; my parents had bought the little "property of Alcatraz" hat for me while we were on vacation. I wore striped pants and shirt (hand done stripes) and a chain and tether ball around my ankle (I'd painted them black). This was the kind of costume I grew up doing...something original. The following year I wore an old family ghost costume with the Alcatraz hat and ball/chain...I had lots of "Oh did you die?" comments from people handing out candy.

I was a cheerleader once. I loved that. Great costume to use in the bedroom too, hehe.
