After the employees complained to a lawyer and word got out, Siegfried apologized, saying:
"Distributing this communication was an error of judgment on my part. Please know it was never my intention to offend anyone. For those that I have offended, I sincerely apologize."
McDonald put out a statement saying that the company respects its employees' opinions, and "had no knowledge of this material being distributed" by its franchisee.
I think he should be FIRED.

What's rerally idiotic is HOW WILL HE KNOW HOW THEY VOTE?
Is he going in the booth with them?
At the very least McDonald's corporate should revoke his franchise.
That includes stopping supplies flowing to the stores. I know, it would hurt the employees but the guy needs to be taught a lesson.
What he did was stupid, but unfortunately not illegal. There was no real quid prop quo here, just a big ole pile of asshattery!
If you read it, it's really saying there will be no benefits should the Democrats win. Which isn't going to be swayed by a few dozen voters at most. (Most of which will probably be required to work election day and probably would be, not fired, but sharply criticized for leaving work to go to the polls.)
