Hate Groups file a Referendum to repeal Gay Marriage in Washington State
Look out, Washington! The haters are already plotting to take away marriage equality in the state. As soon as Gov. Gregoire signed the bill into law, NOM and other hate groups started their plans to snatch it away.
They have filed a referendum repeal the marriage equality bill. All they need is 120,577 voter signatures by June 6th. This is very doable, so please stop these haters from ruining happiness for gay and lesbian couples in Washington.

GOP trying to destroy Gay Marriage in DC

Lord, you knew Bishop Harry Jackson and other fools were coming back for more.
Now, over 30 GOP congress folks have filed an amicus brief in D.C. Superior Court calling for a voter referendum on legalizing gay marriage in DC.
In the filing, U.S. senators James Inhofe (Okla.) and Roger Wicker (Miss.) and 37 House Republicans align with Bishop Harry Jackson, pastor of Hope Christian Church, in asking the court to reverse a D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics decision prohibiting the same-sex marriage question to be put before voters. And are the GOPs involved:
The filing comes as Jackson and his attorneys appeared in Superior Court today for a hearing on whether a referendum should be held. In two separate rulings since June, the elections board has stated that a public vote on same-sex marriage would be discriminatory against gay men and lesbians. Jackson is vowing an exhaustive court fight to challenge those decisions.
In addition to the two senators and Boehner and Cantor, the brief was signed by U.S. Reps. Robert Aderholt (Ala.), Todd Akin (Mo.), Michele Bachmann (Minn.), J. Gresham Barrett (S.C.), Roscoe Bartlett (Md.), Marsha Blackburn (Tenn.), John Boozman (Ark.), Jason Chaffetz (Utah), John Fleming (La.), J. Randy Forbes (Va.), Virginia Foxx (N.C.), Scott Garrett (N.J.), Phil Gingrey (Ga.), Louie Gohmert (Tex.), Jeb Hensarling (Tex.), Wally Herger (Calif.), Walter Jones (N.C.), Jim Jordan (Ohio), Steve King (Iowa), Jack Kingston (Ga.), John Kline (Minn.) Doug Lamborn (Colo.), Robert Latta (Ohio), Don Manzullo (Ill.), Michael McCaul (Tex.), Thaddeus McCotter (Mich.), Patrick McHenry (N.C.), Cathy McMorris Rodgers (Wash.), Jeff Miller (Fla.), Jerry Moran (Kan.), Randy Neugebauer (Tex.), Mike Pence (Ind.), Joe Pitts (Pa.), Mark Souder (Ind.) and Todd Tiahrt (Kan.)Keep these cretins on notice.

Washington Judge Protects the Names of the Haters... For Now

In the continuing battle of gay marriages and rights, the Haters in Washington somehow gathered enough signatures (Referendum 71) to repeal the state's new domestic partners law.
So with that in mind, LGBT supporters said alright, but we will make the names public so we all can see the foolishness, but U.S. District Judge Benjamin H. Settle granted a temporary restraining order to hold the releasing the Haters' names.
Judge Settle cited that absence in his written order, and also gave what appears to be a nod to the strength of the referendum backers' case, writing that they "have sufficiently demonstrated a reasonable likelihood of success on the merits" of their First Amendment claim, and "a reasonable likelihood of irreparable harm if the names are released."
Larry Stickney, campaign manager with Protect Marriage Washington, called the judge's decision a good outcome. He and the group's attorney, Stephen Pidgeon, high-fived one another in the courtroom as they read the written order.
"We think it's good news," Stickney said.
A consortium of religious conservative organizations, Protect Marriage Washington on Saturday submitted 138,500 signatures to the secretary of state seeking to force Referendum 71 onto the November ballot.
At least 120,577 of the signatures must be valid for the referendum to qualify.
Tom Lang, director of knowthyneighbor.org, which plans to post the names on that Web site, said he was intensely disappointed Washington failed to defend its own public disclosure law in court.
I am disappointed too, Tom. Hopefully, you will release those names and put those fools on blast. However, we may not have to worry, the signatures maybe be invalid anyways.
fingers crossed
