Interesting Quote: Rep. Robin Hayes

"Liberals hate real Americans that work and achieve and believe in God."

No, we just hate idiots like you.

Apology is NOT accepted

Moose Mess apologized for her Pro-American statement. I guess she realized the foolishness it caused in the campaign. Also it continued the belief of 2 Americas: the smart ones and the ones we need to ship over the Phantom Zone. (well that's my belief)

However, she said "I don't want that misunderstood. If that's the way it came across, I apologize."

That's all fine and dandy, but I would've hoped she taught about that a while ago. Celebrating ignorance is not American, in fact, it un-American. Our country is riddled with foolish people who don't need assurance that their behavior is okay.

We should hold them accountable and convince them to be better people. Remember a smarter and critical America is the best America.

Russell A. Schmalz: An American F**ktard

I hope they beat his ass in jail. It's folks like this I almost hate to the core.

A Bourbonnais Elementary School District No. 53 bus driver was arrested Thursday for mob action after he allegedly taunted a 10-year-old student and encouraged others on the bus to chase after the boy.

Russell A. Schmalz, 46, was arrested by the Kankakee Sheriff's Police Department, Chief Deputy Ken McCabe said. Schmalz is also charged with endangering the life of a child and battery.

"The incident occurred last Friday," McCabe said, alleging that Schmalz was taunting the boy by calling him "gay."

"When the boy got off the bus the driver encouraged several other students to go after him and tackle him. Our investigation shows that occurred," McCabe said.

Investigators are also looking into allegations that Schmalz got off the bus and grabbed the boy he had allegedly been taunting.

Bourbonnais School District officials would only say the driver has been terminated.

America's Best: West Plains, Missouri

Raymond Fine, 74, of West Plains, said the sign is a form of free speech. "If they can burn a flag, then they can put a sign up like that."

The sign is located south of West Plains on U.S. 63 across from the Dairy Queen.

Outrage over the sign triggered West Plains resident Becky Estes to write a letter in Monday's edition of the Daily Quill newspaper saying "such a tasteless display merely reinforces the wide-spread belief that Ozarkers are ignorant country bumpkins."

And we do, Becky. As much as I hate to say it, most people do think Mid-Western/Southern folks are the bane of the American existence.

Interesting Quote: Michael Carpenter

Blacks ``have an ax to grind, and they are going to grind it,'' he said. ``If he gets elected, this country is in for some real troubles.'' Michael Carpenter, a 65-year-old tour-bus driver.

Well Michael, it seems that it is you with an ax to grind. Electing Obama is not our free slap a white person today card. It was never about that, it's about a change and a new direction for our country.

It amazes me how strong ignorance is in this day and age. If you are poor and suffering from the economy, would you want to continue suffering? No! You would want to get out, be financially stable and secure in your job, right? And would you let a foolish belief keep you from that freedom? I hope not, however that's not the case in these middle American towns.

My only ax to grind will be towards ignorance like this. This has to stop if we are going to get anywhere. If people allow mess like this to keep them down, then they can't blame the government or the president. They can only blame themselves.

A simple gesture

Beth Seidel, a factory worker in Cleveland who works the third shift so she can take her son to school and then to practices for the four sports he plays. Pausing recently at a Wal-Mart, she said: "Honestly, I don't know what to do. I really don't want to vote for McCain. You can tell he only cares about rich people. Sarah Palin wears glasses that cost $300. McCain's wife wears Gucci clothes. Which means they don't know anything about people like me." Into that stew of assumptions, she adds: "I hear that Obama's a Muslim. If he is a Muslim, that would be a problem, because the terrorists already attacked us."

Beth, he's not. In fact if you read a paper, watch the news, google, read his book at the bookstore or Wal-Mart, you may find out that Obama isn't a Muslim. But I wanted to talk about this blanket view of Muslims. It still gets me that people view every Muslim as terrorists. If I believed in the actions of a certain race, I would believe that white men were serial killers/rapists, Native Americans had magical powers, and Latinos danced all day. Ridiculous? Yes.

It's time to think critically. Beth's issue is small but very serious. The answers for her questions are there, on paper, on the screen, in plain sight. The simplest thing to do, is to get up, get out, and find out. If you want to know about Obama's background, read about it. It's there, plain and simple.

Radio is Killing the Music Star

So let me get this straight, radio stations will play songs about big booties, slapping hoes, getting high, and about loosing up buttons, but they won't play a hit song because of an empty rumor?

No, they won't.

Adele's hit song Chasing Pavements has been banned in the US for its homosexual connotations.

The record - which has proved a huge success in Adele's native UK - has been dubbed a gay anthem by Americans, who think the title is referring to gay men who cruise around looking for sex.

Adele has now blamed the reference for damaging her chances of making it big Stateside.

She said: "Some weirdo on the internet wrote that Chasing Pavements was about being gay, which isn't true at all.

"Because of that some radio stations in the States wouldn't play it. The guy wrote it on the Urban Dictionary website, which I've used for years and 'chasing pavements' was never on there as a slang term before."

Just when I thought we were making progress...
It's a great song, better than anything we have, and how can people be so dumb. I know it's a small thing, but it's still reflective of our consistent ignorance.

Are we scary people?

Are we really something to be frightened about? Usually a day doesn’t go by without hearing how we (the gays) are ruining the world. We caused Katrina, we are destroying the family structure, we bringing Hell on earth, we are bringing the stock markets down…we’re just doing it all.

If an alien came here and heard all of the horrible things gay people were doing and causing, they would think we were supreme beings. Sometimes, I think we are mutants by the way we are treated. But really, if we had that much power do you think we would destroy everything? I think not, I like to think we would erase the hate, ignorance, and foolishness from everyone. We would make life easier for those to come out and be accepted. We could get rid of the self-doubt and mess in our lives. And we may make the world a better place (wishful thinking).

But I still wonder why we are the bad ones? Since Cali allows gay marriage, I heard some horrible statements from people whom suppose to be peaceful and forgiving. I mean, I’ve heard and read things before, but it seems like nothing’s changed. It’s like when we win, it feels like we lose. I’m not sure if some people are getting any closer to opening their minds, regardless of the law or Bravo TV shows.

I can think of other things we should be aware of and other people we should be worried about. There’s poverty, war, education, social problems that should be a higher priority in our world. The last time I check, we just want to love, live, and party in the craziest of ways. Just like everyone else, but when we become purple people eaters, then you should worry.
