Lynda Carter is President of United States in Supergirl

So excited!

My generation's Wonder Woman Lynda Carter will be the President of the United States on the second season of Supergirl on the CW.

It only fitting for the her to be in this role. Lynda will stay in the comic home roots at DC, so it should be an interesting homecoming. I can't to see her in action.

Tyler Hoechlin Cast as Superman In CW's Supergirl Series

Teen Wolf fans!

Tyler Hoechlin is the new Superman for the CW's Supergirl. He's been a fan favorite for years so I'm sure this will go over well.

Deadline reports
“Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman,” said Andrew Kreisberg, executive producer of Supergirl. “We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character.
Congrats, Tyler!

Actress Melissa Benoist is Supergirl

Glee and Whiplash star Melissa Benoist has a new title under her belt. She is now Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, Supergirl.

Here's a description of the series from THR

The hourlong drama, which received a hefty series commitment, centers on Kara Zor-El, Superman's cousin, who was born on the planet Krypton and escaped amid its destruction years ago. Benoist will play Kara, who after arriving on Earth was taken in by a foster family, the Danvers, who taught her to be careful with her extraordinary powers (which she shares with her famous cousin, Superman).

Now 24, Kara feels un-empowered, a slave to having repressed her innate abilities. She's still pretty, but with her face hidden behind glasses and her hair pulled back, she doesn't know it herself. An unexpected disaster forces her to use her powers in public. Energized by her heroic deed, for the first time in her life, Kara begins embracing her extraordinary abilities. She begins helping the people of her city and they soon take notice — and she's even given a new moniker: Supergirl.

The series isn't on the Fall line-up yet, but it has a good chance to be.

Good luck, Melissa!

CBS Gives Series Commitment to a ‘Supergirl’ series

CBS wants Supergirl.

Following "Arrow" and "The Flash", scribes Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler are moving forward with a “Supergirl” series.

For you non-geeks, Supergirl is Superman's cousin. Her name is Kara Zor-El, who, 24, and ready to use her powers for good.

This is another one of DC Comics many TV projects. Supergirl joins Gotham, Arrow, The Flash, Constantine, iZombie and possibly, Teen Titans/Titans for TNT. I'm not too worried about this series, Greg is pretty good with telling decent stories, so this could be a hit.
