I'm almost sure I will get one. I knew to hold off on the iPad 1, because too many techies had issues with it. This one sounds like they have more of what I need.
No. I bought a netbook last summer and I'm very happy with it. I don't use WiFi or read electronic books anyway.

Hell no! It lacks a couple of things which would make it REALLY useful. You know, a real USB port, or an SD/XD card slot.
But instead I'll dump close to $700 on a rocking leather recliner. I test drove it this evening. Picture leather stuffed with marshmallow. Yeah. And it extends almost 100% horizontal. I'll spend many an hour snoozing in that one while playing video games or using my laptop.
I want one, but my hubby says if I get one I'll be a douchebag. :-(
