I wish I could be that confident about all our people. Though much of our population is good natured, it doesn't take much to bring out our inhumanity and hatred. Not that that is any different than peoples of other nations. I'd like to be more optimistic, but I feel that would be a political and social mistake. We can't have many more of those kinds of mistakes.
