I agree with Justice Warren that marriage is a central ingredient in the pursuit of happiness. I disagree with LGBT activists about what “marriage” is. And it is very hard to have a reasonable or productive discussion when the two sides cannot agree on the definition of a central term. You and I may agree that it should be legal to walk a dog in a particular public park. But you may think that the term “dog” includes only domesticated members of the Canis lupus familiaris species, and I may think that the term “dog” can include large gray wolves. You may argue that “dog” should be defined by the laws and traditions that have governed dog ownership for generations, and I may feel that such an approach in unfair to people who want to walk wolves in the park. The point is that we cannot get anywhere until we agree on what a “dog” is. 

Homosexuals are not being denied “marriage” rights any more than wolf enthusiasts are being denied dog-ownership rights. Last November, a federal appeals court in Nevada pointed out homosexuals are not, in fact, being denied the right to marry, as the term “marriage” has been long understood. A lesbian couple had sued the state, seeking to overturn Nevada’s ban on gay marriage under the Fourteenth Amendment.

"One night I walked past one of those newsstands. As I was walking past it, I looked at that newsstand and they had some article about same-sex marriage and all that blasphemous stuff. And I laid hands on that newsstand and I said, 'In the name of Jesus, I CURSE THIS PAPER!' Less than two months, that paper went bankrupt. It was part of a six-newspaper chain! It went bankrupt! It went out of business! IT WENT UNDER! It did!"

That paper is the Washington Blade, which is STILL in business! I guess he thinks people don't google. Oh well, another day in crazy ass preacher world.

This weekend, Bishop Harry Jackson reveal his Anti-Obama campaign, doing what? RACE-BAITING!

In a breakout session at the Values Voter Summit this past weekend, Jackson fleshed out the campaign, which is working to turn minority voters against Obama and Democratic candidates in seven swing states. He’s already had several events, but he’s still scrounging for cash to fund the full effort.

“I think that we’re going to win this battle for marriage and I believe that we’re going to win this fight even for the presidency,” Jackson said, “but I believe it’s going to be the last two minutes of the game, in the fourth quarter and it’s going to be what you would call a ‘Hail Mary pass.’” At the end of the workshop he made his goal clear: “I’m asking God to give us a victory at the congress and senatorial levels so we have a firewall. I’m also asking him to give us deliverance from the president that’s in the White House today for four years.”

Jackson’s workshop was billed as the “Vertical Vote Campaign for Life, Marriage and Religious Liberties.” The “vertical” title echoes language used by Jackson ally Samuel Rodriguez, who insists that evangelicals have to vote their vertical (God-oriented) values.

So Harry is using his NOM/Hate/Blood money to deceive Black voters. Folks need to take heed to this liar and bootlegger. It's a shame how easy this fool can be bought and sold.

Harry, you are truly a disgrace and truly charlatan.

Bishop Harry Jackson has received payment from NOM to be their Uncle Tom. Mother Jones exposes the truth:

Jackson is exactly the kind of African American spokesperson the NOM memo envisions. "There's been a hijacking of the civil rights movement by the radical gay movement," he said on CNN after backing California's Proposition 8 in 2008. "You can't equate your sin with my skin." 

He has received $20,000 from NOM's education fund and has rallied support for same-sex marriage bans in Florida and Washington, DC, where he joined Councilmember Marion Barry to oppose a marriage equality bill in 2009. 

As the head of the political action committee Stand4MarriageDC, Jackson was meant to be the voice of local opposition (he had a condo in the city). NOM's fingerprints, however, were obvious: The two groups shared an address; NOM gave Stand4MarriageDC direct financial support; and Brian Brown, NOM's executive director, was its treasurer. The measure passed, and NOM then spent tens of thousands of dollars trying to unseat councilmembers who supported the bill, without success.

Don't be nonchalant about this, folks because it fills a missing piece of the puzzle. I have long suspected black ministers who are teaming up with NOM aren't doing it solely for their religious beliefs. This revelation about Jackson begs the question just what other black ministers does NOM have on it's payroll. And I would also be remiss if I didn't state the obvious - these ministers are betraying their own people.

Yes, NOM is PAYING him to do this. They are paying him to be a divider and if I remember the Bible correctly, Harry is not being Godly.

If fact, it's considered sinful to be a divider.

"Jeremiah Wright (Obama's former pastor) has been performing same-sex 'commitment services' for years. Obama has been exposed to this belief for years and has demonstrated time and time again that he does not believe that homosexuality is a sin. Actions speak much louder than words."

"He is asking us to stray from the most basic tenets of Scripture – that marriage is an institution made by God for man and woman to become one and procreate. These people are really pushing it. Even after the Supreme Court rejected Bishop Harry (Snakeface) Jackson's foolish challenge to D.C.'s marriage equality law; he, FRC and NOM are approaching the House GOP to end D.C.'s gay marriage period.

Tuesday's decision was not an endorsement of gay "marriage" in this city or anywhere else. It was simply the court recognizing its own limitations. On matters affecting the District, Congress is the absolute authority. The justices are leaving it to them to clean up this mess, or not. 


Last year, when the city council exploited the process and forced same-sex "marriage" on the District, House leaders could have--and should have--gotten involved. Instead, members chickened out and did nothing. Fortunately for D.C. voters, times--and the party majorities--have changed. I've been discussing possible steps GOP leaders could take to do what the city didn't do: give the people a voice. Believe it or not, Congress has the power to override the D.C. government's decisions any time it wants. It could reject the marriage law outright or order the District to adopt a new statute that would put this issue on the ballot. What the Left doesn't want you to know is that D.C. doesn't have the authority to block referendums on marriage. Only Congress does.
