In Louisiana: GOP Lawmakers push a Bill to make The Bible the State Book

This is some mess!

A House municipal committee has put forth a bill that would make the Bible Louisiana's official state book.

This silly bill passed with an 8-5 vote, sending it to the House for discussion. Rep. Thomas Carmody is the fool who sponsored the bill. He claims he isn't trying to push Christianity in the state, but what does he call this foolishness?

The Bible the official state book... A book of tall tales as a state book.

I don't think this will actually pass, but seriously, lawmakers... Get it together.

Am I worn g but aren't most, if not all, Official State Representations representative of the state - the bird, the flower, song, flag, etc.? I would thing an official book would one by a famous GA born author or one about the state itself, not one that can be claimed by any state or even nation.
