I don't think most children today even know who the Smurfs are, unless they watched VH1 I love the 80s specials all the time.

It is likely just going to be nostalgic parents that truck their children over there to see it.

Hopefully we will finally get some answers as to why there are only one female Smurf.

Growing up, I LOVED the Smurfs. I even collected the little figures. Not sure I'll go to the movie. haha. Hopefully it's cute and introduces the Smurfs to another generation.

Be happy it's animated, could you imagine if it was live action!! Oh wait they do have to do Gargamel don't they....maybe it will be another Alvin and the Chipmunks.

And there was more than one girl by the time it was all said and done.
