Nate Silver: Trump won't be the GOP .Nominee

Mostly everybody already know this, but to some who don't, Donald Trump will not be president or the nominee.

Nate Silver looked into the madness of Donald Trump's polling and found out the facts. Candidates like Gingrich, Pat Buchanan and Perry had similar polling at this time in the past... And look how that turned out.

Also, this polling isn't really reflective of the average voter. These are hype opinions (my term). Hype opinions are played up by the media and folks who are not consistent in their voting. I do believe by November, we will see a huge difference.

Nate also points out:

Much of the party’s influence consists of what you might call “soft power,” the ability to influence outcomes by persuasion rather than coercion. But the party also has some “hard power”: It literally makes the rules. It can rule against candidates it doesn’t like in the event of delegate-counting disputes. It can probably even change the rules midstream. There isn’t a lot of precedent to worry about violating, since it’s been 40 years since Republicans came close to a brokered convention. 

If Trump made it this far, the Republican Party would go to extraordinary lengths to avoid nominating him. In “The Party Decides” view, parties are basically looking for two things from their nominees: They want them to be reliable (meaning, they can be counted on to enact the Republican agenda once in office), and they want them to be electable (meaning, they can win in November). It’s hard to think of a candidate who does worse on those two measures than Trump. He’s exceptionally unpopular among independent voters. But he also has a checkered political past that includes once having supported abortion rights and universal health care. For the Republican Party, he’s the worst of all possible worlds.

Kentucky Clerk still defies the Law as She refuses to give a Marriage License to a Gay Couple

County Clerk Kim Davis made the news because she refused to give a gay couple a marriage license. Although, the right to marry is the law in Kentucky, Kim still refused. She claimed her Christian duty was being violated or some bullsh*t.

Well, she tried to take her crappy excuse to court and they basically rained on her parade. A federal judge ruled that in despite of her religious feelings, she had to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. U.S. District Court Judge David Bunning told Kim that she can praise God all day, everyday, but since she took an oath to be a clerk... She has to follow the law.

Yes, Kim was defeated realized that the law is on our side. But that didn't stop this heifer from acting out. Just today, Kim refused to issue a same-sex couple a marriage license. Kim's holding out because she filed an appeal to the judge's decision. I don't know if she understood the judge, but she has to follow the law. I guess she's thinking she doing the Lord's work.

Well, Kim, girl... You keep thinking that as you stand in the unemployment line for your beliefs.

Black Lives Matter Activists come for Jeb Bush

For those who complained that the BLM folks were only going after Bernie Sander, get some salt for that foot.

In Florida, the Black Lives Matter protesters stormed Jeb's town hall meeting. The activists were also joined by the Planned Parenthood activists who are not happy with Jeb's stance on abortion rights.

LA Times reports:

Bush, responding to a woman's query about the disproportionate number of minorities killed by police and their treatment in the criminal justice system, said there was no question that racism still existed in the United States and that leaders needed to engage in communities that felt disenfranchised. He then turned to his education record as Florida's governor, raising achievement scores among minority youth.

“I have a record of empowering people in communities that” were told “they had no chance,” Bush said, ending the town hall. He did not deliver a closing statement, as he typically does, and quickly made his way to an exit, greeting supporters along the way.

Behind him, a few dozen protesters raised their fists and began chanting “Black Lives Matter!” A handful of Bush supporters turned toward them and chanted “All Lives Matter!” and “White Lives Matter!” Two women -- a protester and a Bush supporter stood a few feet from the candidate with their middle fingers extended in each other's faces.
