In the latest Candy magazine, publisher Luis Venegas showcase transgender model Connie Fleming as a Michelle Obama on the cover.

This photo was taken by Danielle Levitt and styled by Brad Goreski. Luis had a particular idea in mind when he revealed this cover:

"I especially love the cover story, which for the first time isn't a super-popular star, but a fabulous, beautiful black transwoman channeling a politician who looks pretty much like Michelle Obama. I remember back in early 2007 when the Democratic Party’s nominees were narrowed down between two "controversial" stereotypes never before seen for presidency: a black man, Barack Obama; and a woman, Hillary Rodham Clinton. At that time, I thought, 'when will the time come when these archaic walls break down and the White House will be occupied by, for example, a black, transsexual woman?'

James Dobson from Focus on the Family, said some stupid mess today about the Sandy Hook shootings.

This idiot said:

Our country really does seem in complete disarray. I'm not talking politically, I'm not talking about the result of the November sixth election; I am saying that something has gone wrong in America and that we have turned our back on God. 

I mean millions of people have decided that God doesn't exist, or he's irrelevant to me and we have killed fifty-four million babies and the institution of marriage is right on the verge of a complete redefinition. Believe me, that is going to have consequences too.

And a lot of these things are happening around us, and somebody is going to get mad at me for saying what I am about to say right now, but I am going to give you my honest opinion: I think we have turned our back on the Scripture and on God Almighty and I think he has allowed judgment to fall upon us. I think that's what's going on.

These folks have no right to think they are speaking in God's voice.

Thoughts... Guns and Gun Control

In my hometown, folks are freaking out about gun control. But why? Why do folks need to have so many guns and so many types of guns?

Some say it's for safety and hunting, but is it really that serious? Why are some folks only thinking about their right to bare arms, when we are losing lives because of them? Why can't we get this gun control mess under better management?

These gun needy folks have to get out of their bubble and see the reality around them. The access to guns is a problem, the ideal that guns make us safe is a problem as well. We have to wake up and see that this issue is bigger than having a full gun rack in their home.

It's way bigger than that.

Because President Obama interrupted this game, fans lost their feeble minds and tweeted some dumb ass things.
