Six GLAAD Board Members have Resigned

Jocelyn Bramble, Kelly Dermody, Humberto Mata, James Walker, Gary Bitner and Randi Weingarten have resigned due to the fallout of the AT&T/T-Mobile drama.

Politico reports:

Some board members were said to have resigned because of concerns that GLAAD failed to adhere to its conflict of interest standards and to protest GLAAD's failure to protect its president, Jarrett Barrios, who submitted his letter of resignation to the group Saturday amid a growing backlash in the gay blogosphere over the group's AT&T stance.

Barrios had signed the letter GLAAD sent to the FCC in support of the wireless mega-deal.

GLAAD board member Gary Bitner confirmed in an email to POLITICO on Tuesday that he had resigned. Five other board members — including Randi Weingarten, the president of the American Federation of Teachers — also have submitted their resignations, according to the POLITICO source who is familiar with the matter.

This incident has reduced their board to 23 now. Will there be more resignations to come?

Texas Governor Rick Perry may have to address Gay Rumors

Now I'm not the one to spread rumors; but if Rick Perry plans to run for President, he will need to address some gay rumors. Yes, I said GAY rumors.

Here's the scoop:

Texas Governor Rick Perry's camp is prepared to tackle unfounded rumors dating back to as early as 2004 about the Lone Star State Republican's personal life should he run for president and the allegations resurface, according to Politico.

Roughly seven years ago, Perry himself addressed the unsubstantiated buzz that he and his wife planned to divorce and that he was gay. He denied the rumors and told the Austin American-Statesman at the time that he was the victim of a "smear campaign" being conducted by his political enemies.

I wonder where did these rumors come from. Maybe Mike Rogers could dig this up and see if there's truth to this.

Well many folks thought he meant for Christina to be Diana, but if you look closely at what he said, he meant for her to be in the movie. So with that notion, my question is... What role would Christina play?
