One week ago I left Hong Kong after it became clear that my freedom and safety were under threat for revealing the truth. My continued liberty has been owed to the efforts of friends new and old, family, and others who I have never met and probably never will. I trusted them with my life and they returned that trust with a faith in me for which I will always be thankful.

On Thursday, President Obama declared before the world that he would not permit any diplomatic "wheeling and dealing" over my case. Yet now it is being reported that after promising not to do so, the President ordered his Vice President to pressure the leaders of nations from which I have requested protection to deny my asylum petitions.

This kind of deception from a world leader is not justice, and neither is the extralegal penalty of exile. These are the old, bad tools of political aggression. Their purpose is to frighten, not me, but those who would come after me.

For decades the United States of America have been one of the strongest defenders of the human right to seek asylum. Sadly, this right, laid out and voted for by the U.S. in Article 14 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, is now being rejected by the current government of my country. The Obama administration has now adopted the strategy of using citizenship as a weapon. Although I am convicted of nothing, it has unilaterally revoked my passport, leaving me a stateless person. Without any judicial order, the administration now seeks to stop me exercising a basic right. A right that belongs to everybody. The right to seek asylum.

In the end the Obama administration is not afraid of whistleblowers like me, Bradley Manning or Thomas Drake. We are stateless, imprisoned, or powerless. No, the Obama administration is afraid of you. It is afraid of an informed, angry public demanding the constitutional government it was promised — and it should be.

I am unbowed in my convictions and impressed at the efforts taken by so many.

As I was getting ready (hair, makeup, wardrobe), various members of the production team were in and out of my trailer making sure I had everything I needed. A producer visited my trailer as I was getting my makeup done. Another producer was there when I was getting my hair straightened. They were even there outside waiting as I was putting on the finishing touches of my outfit.

After rushing to make it to the red carpet in time, I was escorted by several members of production down to the stage. Everybody I spoke with commented on how fabulous I looked. There was never any indication that there was an issue. There was no pushback. I was simply there to do my job.

After interviewing AJ Calloway for my first segment I was literally yanked backstage and told that my look from head to toe “wasn’t acceptable.”

They asked me to pull my hair back, they asked me to change my attire.

Most of us would consider such actions cynical, shameful and despicable. Clearly, they undermine public confidence in the legitimacy of the legal system. Yet Kamala Harris tells us that, "it's a great day" because, "it means those people who want to deny same-sex couples the benefits of equal protection and due process under the United States constitution cannot do so simply because they don't like the notion."

In other words, the more than 7 million Californians who exercised their sovereign right to amend their state constitution — an act that the California Supreme Court ruled overwhelmingly was a proper and legal use of the constitutional amendment process — don't matter because she, Kamala Harris, has determined that it was the wrong thing to do and she was not going to let them get away with this "notion." In the world of Kamala Harris, we are banished to the sidelines, not even fit to participate in civil discourse.

Harris ignored her oath of office and lied about what the Supreme Court has said about Proposition 8. Worse, her hubris and arrogance is revealed with the statement that, "I know that all Californians — as evidenced by the most recent polling that was done, 61% — support same-sex marriage and the right of these couples to marry, as equals under the law."

OutServe-SLDN Chapter Members release a Statment asking for the Co-Chair Josh Seefried to resign

This is getting hot! More info is coming out about the firing of Allyson Robinson. And it seems that Josh is to blame. Check out their statement:

This week, OutServe-SLDN’s mission of full equality in the military was set back by the abrupt attempt to dismiss Executive Director Allyson Robinson. The cause was attributed to the current financial state of the organization, but that crisis was never disclosed to the general membership, nor was a call to action asking for help. Two statements were released three days after initial leaks reported these events.

This entire episode has damaged OS-SLDN’s reputation as a leader in the LGBT community and as an advocate for the transgender military community. Donors and sponsors have indicated that Allyson’s loss makes them think twice about contributing to our organization. The loss of key board members and staff who resigned in protest due to the Board’s method of approaching Allyson has damaged OS-SLDN’s operational capability.

In sum, this episode was the result of a reckless attempt to save money without considering the consequences and it has had a clear detrimental impact on the organization, including our future ability to advocate effectively for the LGB and transgender military communities.

It is our view, after reviewing the situation and options available, that the best way forward is to address the problems within the leadership. We will be asking for the resignation of Josh Seefried, Co-Chair of the OS-SLDN Board of Directors and coordinator of the process that led to requesting Allyson’s resignation.

If OS-SLDN is to survive, we need change immediately. We need transparency and honesty. We need clear communication that comes from the top of the organization and directly addresses the membership.

We need to react and repair the damage that has been done by the Board of Directors.

OS-SLDN is a membership-based organization. Without the members, it cannot exist. We are committed to improving this by ensuring that membership has an ever-present voice and the opportunity to participate in the governance of OS-SLDN.

Most importantly, we are unequivocally dedicated to bringing about full LGBT equality to America's military, veterans, and our families, to include ending all forms of discrimination and harassment of military personnel on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

BET disrespected B. Scott

Last night I learned that B. Scott, a well-know social media star, was basically told to curb his looks.

The word is that B. Scott couldn't glam up or wear heels on the Red Carpet.

Really, BET? You allow Chris Brown to bring his deranged ass on stage, but B. Scott has to change.

You let women pop and twerk in tight ass outfits, but B. Scott has to change.

Rappers can look like thugs and criminals, and cuss like sailors, but B. Scott has to change.

This is ridic and very telling about the folks producing the BET Awards. They need to think about the messages this sends. If BET told B. Scott to chill with fashion, then they are totally in the wrong. It's like they are saying that being his gay fab self is too much for the public. Too bad they are so behind the times.

If they are going to be this backwards, then maybe we need to send them a message. We need to let them know that gay folks are real and we can express ourselves in any way we want. What happened to B. Scott is unacceptable.

I'm hoping to hear more about this and to B. Scott... Stay strong.

Sarah 'Moose Mess' Palin claims to start a New Party

Moose Mess said she would start a new party. Now why is she possibly doing this? Well she thinks the GOP are abandoning the "principles that built this party of Lincoln and Reagan."

Well, you do that, Sarah. Too bad it will be nothing but a bunch of crazies.

8 Reasons why a Wonder Woman film will Work!

WB has enough excuses about why we don't have a WW film. If those excuses were houses, there would be a new city on Google maps.

But I think it is possible and if I was in the WB war room, I would present these reason:

1. It's time.
2. Mythology works. Look at how the (horrid) Clash of the Titans turned out and Thor. Folks are ready for more.
3. Katness. In a lot of ways, Katness/Hunger Games proves that women can lead movies.
4. Fangirls are a powerful force in the movie watching game. They will turn out for a WW flick.
5. And continuing that trend, Gays and Women can make movie miracles.  
6. Her fans. WW has fans that will come out and show up for this movie.
7. The hype! The hype of this movie will get many folks to come out.
8. The actress hunt. Who ever lands that role could make or break the film. But the news, will spark interest.
