To Fox Studios...No More Mutants (movies)

Warning...Rant Ahead

Wolvie did well this weekend, making close to 90 million. And now folks in Hollyhell are thinking about the next mutant movie.

However, I'm thinking... What is the next Mutant Massacre?

If y'all don't know, I'm a huge, huge comic book fan; been in it since I was 14. The stories, the heroes, the villains and the art has always been a part of my life. So when I see a movie of my favorite comic books, I want them to be the best.

But what do we get? Movies for dumb people...yes I said it. The stories that has created epic tales and legends are reduced to explosions, bad acting, overdose of CGI and scantly clad girls. I know these movies have to make money, but please don't insult me with overpacked plots and silly actors.

If folks took the time to tell the story so many geeks fell in love with, we will keep coming back. I think about Joss writing Buffy and how loyal we are several years after the show was over. How Batman Returns and Dark Knight kept fans in awe and gave Heath an Oscar. That's the type of product we would like to see in all Comic Book flicks.

But when we get crap like Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Elektra, Transformers, Fantastic Four, The Spirit, X-Men 3, Catwoman and Wolverine, it just breaks my heart. These movies are insulting to many of us who have major respect for the characters. It almost hurts to see any movie relating to anything geeky.

So to end my rant, I beg the Gods for these things:

  1. NO MORE MUTANTS (movies that is, unless it's by Marvel Studios)
  2. Let the writers of the comic WRITE THE FRAKKING MOVIE and they should pick the director.
  3. Stop selling the comic book rights to foolish studios who will abuse the frak out of it.
  4. Stick to the story. Don't change it up, if Chris Claremont or Alan Moore didn't go there, then neither should some overzealous writer.
  5. Do Not use Megan Fox in anything!
  6. If the story is too big (X-Men 3/Pheonix saga), do it in cartoon style.
  7. No more CW style comic book shows (Birds of Prey will always haunt me)
Okay...I feel a little better now

NOM continues to Fail on TV or What has Happened to Stephen Baldwin?

Nom's demon queen, Maggie Gallagher and Stephen Baldwin were on Larry King this weekend with Joy Behar.

As you will see, NOM really has no purpose. And what has happened to Stephen? Remember when he was hot in Threesome? Such a sad fall.

Also at the 6:15 mark, Shanna let's Maggie have it.

Another True Blood Promo

Rudy Giuliani sucks as a Friend

When Rudy Giuliani was going through his messy divorce, he has a gay friend, Howard Koeppel, who took him in and helped him several years ago.

Fast forward to this week, when Howard and his partner was preparing for their double-ring ceremony. Of course Rudy was invited and a few others, but at the last minute Rudy ditched the ceremony.

"Rudy and Judith were both invited with a beautiful written invitation by mail," said Koeppel. "His secretary called Thursday and said he was not able to come to the wedding and wished us all the best."

Koeppel once quipped that Giuliani was a perfect roommate who "always made his bed" and "called me mother."

At the time, Giuliani ducked the question about whether living with a gay couple had changed his longstanding opposition to gay marriage.

"I don't relate to people as white, black, Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, gay, lesbian, heterosexual," the then-mayor told reporters at Gracie Mansion.

Giuliani has stated he has no problem with civil unions but told The Post he'd speak out against gay marriage if he runs for governor.

So Rudy is not a real friend...after they put his sorry ass up in their house. Rudy should apologize for this...so tacky

Interesting Quote: Robert M. Franklin

"As an all-male institution with the explicit mission of educating men with disciplined minds, the great challenge of this moment in history is our diversity of sexual orientation. Why don't we use this opportunity to model something our community needs?"

"Straight men, should learn more about the outlooks and contributions of gay men. Read a book by a gay author. Have an intelligent conversation with a gay neighbor. At a time when it was truly scandalous to have homosexual friends or associates, Dr. King looked to Bayard Rustin, a black gay man, as a trusted adviser.

And, Malcolm X regarded James Baldwin, a black gay man, as a brilliant chronicler of the black experience. To my straight brothers, diversity at Morehouse is an opportunity that can enrich your education if you are courageous enough to seize the opportunity. We cannot force you, but we invite you to learn from your environment."

From Franklin's speech, "The Soul of Morehouse and the Future of the Mystique"

Jay Severin is an Asshole

You knew it was coming. As soon as the Swine flu drama picked up speed, racist remarks was not far behind.

Jay Severin, conservative talk show, lost his frakking mind talking about the Swine flu and Mexicans.

See here

Here's some of the mess he spats:
"When we are the magnet for primitives around the world - and it's not the primitives' fault by the way, I'm not blaming them for being primitives - I'm merely observing they're primitive."

"It's millions of leeches from a primitive country come here to leech off you and, with it, they are ruining the schools, the hospitals, and a lot of life in America."

"We should be, if anything, surprised that Mexico has not visited upon us poxes of more various and serious types already, considering the number of criminaliens already here."

I encourage folks to take him down...How dare he say anything like this.

X-Men Origins: Storm?

Well, after the big opening of Wolvie, someone else is thinking it's her time to have a movie.

Halle who played weather-controlling mutant Storm in the first three films, would love to return to the franchise with her own X-Men Origins picture.

"I think that would be great. Storm deserves her own movie - if I can still fit into the suit," she said.

Interesting...Do you think it would work?
