The Rock just announced that he will be teaming up with DC Comics for a feature film. Now, the question is, which character will he play?

About this project

"DADT" is my NYU narrative thesis film. My last project as a student and my first shot to show the world what I can do. DADT is of course an acronym for 'Don't Ask Don't Tell,' a subject that is on many minds and is very close to my heart. Soldiers have been brutalized with no protection or defense from their superiors and the government. Their partners are not protected, taken care of or even notified when their loved ones die. Suicides, breakdowns and humiliation have been the result of our blase reaction toward the policy. This is why my team and I are making "DADT."

DADT" is a short film, currently clocking in at 20 pages and will be shot in the first half of 2011. 
The film will come to life with professional actors and a crew of young, but talented and able students and alumni of NYU's film school. We will also be working with several different budgets and plans, because we understand that problems will arise. But no matter what may come, my producers and I are determined to get DADT made. Not only made, but made in the vision we have for the film and respectful of the men and women whose lives have been disrupted by the policy. 
Once the film has been shot and edited, it will take us on the festival circuit.

Where did you get those eyes

It's been a minute since I've talked about some good ole Horror. But I have something today, one of my favorite films, Jeepers Creepers, has another flick for us.

According to Fangoria, Trish Jenner [again played by the original's Gina Philips], who, 23 years later, has a teenage son of her own, named Darry after her long-lost brother. Trish is having a terrible recurring dream where her son meets the same terrible fate as her brother. Now a rich and powerful woman, Trish is determined to stop the Creeper once and for all.

Sounds interesting, but I hope they clear up the JC2's ending, because it did jump 23 years later.

Showtime Synergy! The man who gave us Halloween and The Fog will be coming to a theater near you...or near me. John Carpenter will be at the Santa Monica Aero Theatre this weekend!

On Friday night, Carpenter himself will be there for Q&A in between a grindhouse of The Fog and The Thing.

Then on Saturday, there's a double feature of Escape from New York and Escape From LA with Carpenter taking questions again.

And on Sunday, Halloween and Christine will grace the screen, but John won't be there (sadness)

But if anyone is in L.A., you should check this out...I am.
