After Willamette University kicker Conner Mertens came out, things seem to fall into place. His team was cool with it and family as well. That reception helped his boyfriend, Chandler Whitney follow suit.
He came out to his Walla Walla Community College baseball team, once he saw how welcoming folks were about Conner.
He told Outsports:
"I'd been planning to do it at some point anyway and seeing the reaction to Conner's story calmed me down."Cool, guys!
