The ED Show discusses Gays in the NFL

On the Ed Show, the topic of gays in the NFL came up. This story was mostly fueled by the incident with University of Colorado tight end Nick Kasa.

He was asked if he 'liked girls' by NFL team during try-outs. This quickly became a huge story within a matter of hours.

I can't fully agree with Brendan, I want the to come out and challenge the norm. However, I get it and it really sucks.

I find it odd that if you're in the military you can be yourself, and even in a lot of corporate America there's not an issue. So why is Football so sacrosanct?

Football is a religion to many people in the U.S. and a symbol of male heterosexual masculinity to them. The open presence of gays in the NFL would shatter such preconceptions. It would be like having the pope and some of his cardinals admitting to the public that they were gay.
