If you missed it, here is Chris Brown's performance from the BET Awards.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. There's so much besetting this whole thing: the Rihanna incident, the tears, the choice for him to do a Michael Jackson tribute... Just interesting, if you ask me.

I'm with you... Not sure how I feel about it, either. To be honest, it could've been just as good without Chris Brown.... Just a bunch of dancers would've been better than him and his drama.
Okay, I admit...
Before the whole Rihanna thing I was a DIEHARD Chris Brown groupie.
Admittedly, I loved this.
Chris be goin OFF with the dances.
I HATE what he did...but I'm still feelin him creatively.
For me this presents the same dilemna with many popular artists. We really don' know them at ALL. The persona presented to the public is not generally who they are as people, but who record exec's and their publicity people tell them to be to generate sales. When Bustah Rhymes or Eminem said homophobic things it presents the audience with two things. The truth about someone's personality and feelings and whether you as a consumer will continue to put your money in their pockets. It depends on what's important to you.
Some may forgive Chris Brown and move forward while for others it's an unforgivable thing. Chris Brown seemed like a wonderful example of talent to me. But the "event" with Rihanna coupled with some of his statements afterward make me doubt the honesty of what this performance is meant to evoke within us. Sadly, I don't see a person truly sorry, but a person fighting desperately to get his career back on track. Which is too bad.
