I must admit that before watching the video I thought, "God no, not Clay Aiken. This is gonna be a hot mess." But, after viewing it, he comes off as passionate and compassionate and educated and sincere. Maybe he'll be good for the NC.
My initial reaction was "WHAT?!?". But hearing his message, this was well spinned: personal story, just enough sadness to it to make it compelling; pertinent background and a hopeful message. I could vote for the guy if I was over there. Who knew?!? I expected to be cynical about this, and now? Maybe the guy deserves more credit than expected... or his spin doctors...
