WATCH Gay student Graeme Taylor defends his teacher for disciplining an anti-gay student

Weeks ago, Howell High School economics teacher Jay McDowell was reprimanded for addressing a student for making gay slurs in class (see here). Jay was suspended without pay for 14 days.

During a school board meeting, Graeme Taylor approached the stand and defended his teacher.

Thank you, Graeme for standing up for your rights and the rights of others

What an amazing speech that young man gave. He's inspirational and this kind of heroism should be passed around and shared. Thanks.

Reprimand? The school should be held accountable for all the teachers and staff that turn a blind eye.
And that kid is awesome. So well spoken and intelligent. I wish more of the youth were like him.
