In Indiana: House panel delays vote on Gay Marriage Ban
After 3 hours of discussion, the House Judiciary Committee delayed a vote on a proposal to amend Indiana's constitution to ban gay marriage. Chairman Greg Steuerwald said that both sides made strong arguments, however they need more time I guess.
Supporters of the amendment said it was a necessary move against judicial activism, while opponents said the amendment would hurt local businesses and drive away possible clients or talent.
More to come as this battle continues.

In Indiana: A Gay Marriage Ban has been Introduced
An amendment to ban Gay marriage has been introduced in the Indiana House of Representatives. The constitutional ban is called the House Joint Resolution 3 or HJR 3. It also accompanied with the companion House Bill 1153.
That bill explains the intent of the proposal is not to deny employer health benefits to same-sex couples or to circumvent local ordinances that forbid discrimination. That bill could be very problematic.
This will be something to watch in the upcoming weeks. NOM is already set up down there and possibly other hate groups will show up to to help. Hopefully, the pro-gay groups and allies will show up as well.
The hearing starts this Monday.
