Pup Play? No Way (NSFW)

I think I'm being judgmental about this.

I stumbled on this fetish thingy known as Pup Play.  Basically, it's the notion that a guy acts like a puppy and gets treated like one.

It's a sexual thing, to be honest. And to be completely honest, I don't get it. I understand leather, Dom, water sports... It's not for me, but I get it. However, this pup play is some interesting stuff.

Guys literally act like puppies, crawling on the floor, sniffing feet and making dog sounds. Some even wear butt pugs that look like dog tails.

If that gets you off, okay, go for it. I couldn't... Hell, I can't! To be treated like a dog for sexual pleasure doesn't sound hot. I guess, I can't get the idea of being a dog out my head. To be treated like a dog, gives me a whole different meaning. I see it as being less than or beneath someone. Since I was a kid, I was taught to be as good or better than others. To be somebody's pup would probably be too much for me.

I know... I'm sounding like some Christian prude, but I don't get the appeal. Anyone willing to share their thoughts?

NY Magazine discusses Truvada and what it means for Gay Sex

There's a new article about Truvada and the "freedoms" it guarantees. Many gay men are hoping to use it to have, as one guy said, the sex he deserves.

Here are some key parts of the article that I noticed:

Several months after starting the drug, Gabriel says it’s allowed him to be bolder and more unapologetic in his desires, to have the kind of joyfully promiscuous, liberated sex that men enjoyed with one another in the decade or so after the Stonewall riots brought gay life out from the shadows and before the AIDS crisis shrouded it in new, darker ones.

For some men, Truvada’s new use seems just as revolutionary for sex as it is for medicine. “I’m not scared of sex for the first time in my life, ever. That’s been an adrenaline rush,” says Damon L. Jacobs, 43, a therapist who has chronicled his own experience with the drug on Facebook so enthusiastically that some assume Gilead, the drug’s manufacturer, must be paying him. (It’s not, say both he and Gilead.)

And...

It is not particularly hard for an employed, insured gay man in a big American city to hear about and obtain Truvada. That’s not the case for much of the group that potentially needs it the most: African-American gay and bisexual males between 13 and 24, who, in 2010, accounted for twice as many estimated new HIV infections as their white or Hispanic counterparts.

Christopher Street and its adjacent piers have long been a hangout for gay and trans kids of color. I spent a few days there this summer, asking people I met what they knew and thought about PrEP. In some ways, they weren’t very different from the older guys I talked to about it in Chelsea and Hell’s Kitchen bars: One of them would know about Truvada, might even be on it, via a health agency like the Harlem Prevention Center, while the ­others had no idea. Many simply said that they didn’t believe me that such a pill existed, that I had bad information.

Apple is banning Saga #12 because of Stamp-Sized Images of Gay Sex (NSFW) UPDATED

Apple is being very silly right now. Because of the small, small gay sex pics in these two pages, Apple will not carry the popular comic book Saga on their iOS comiXology app or on iPhones or iPads.

Alex Hern of the New Statesman said: “Issue twelve of the series opens with one of the characters, Prince Robot IV, injured on a battlefield. On his TV-screen head (look, it’s a thing in the series) images of gay porn are visible, as the damage takes its toll.”

He added: “while the small visible images are certainly explicit, they’re far from erotic. They work in humorous juxtaposition to the chaos of the battleground, and underline the artificial nature of the character in question.”

Brian Vaughan released a statement saying: “Unfortunately, because of two postage stamp-sized images of gay sex, Apple is banning tomorrow’s Saga #12 from being sold through any iOS apps. This is a drag, especially because our book has featured what I would consider much more graphic imagery in the past, but there you go.

“Fiona and I could always edit the images in question, but everything we put into the book is there to advance our story, not (just) to shock or titillate, so we’re not changing shit.”

Apple needs to explain why this is a big deal. If anything, their foolishness has placed a ugly pox on their house.

2 Gay Men Arrested on a Gay Cruise

I'm not surprised, but I'm still surprised... okay, anywho, 2 men were arrested for having sex in the Caribbean because gay sex is illegal there.

Here's more:

Police Constable John George said police boarded the cruise ship and arrested the two men on suspicion of indecent exposure and "buggery," a term equivalent to sodomy on the island. He identified the men as John Robert Hart, 41, and Dennis Jay Mayer, 43, but did not provide their hometowns.

George said the men were seen having sex on the Celebrity Summit cruise ship by someone on the dock.

The two were later charged with indecent exposure and are scheduled to appear before a magistrate Thursday morning. If found guilty, they could be fined $370 each and face up to six months in jail.

The guys should be released today and hopefully, they'll face misdemeanor charges. And a reminder, kids... don't do it in the Caribbean, wait until Mexico.

New Gay Sex Survey reveals a lot

A recent survey was designed to look at the sexual behaviors in gay and bisexual men. This survey was held by George Mason University, Indiana University, and Online Buddies, Inc. They polled 24,787 gay and bisexual men between the ages of 18 and 87 (87? wow).

The results were quite interesting, but I was bothered that 84.6% of the participants were white. This doesn't give us an in dept look in our community; it should've been more diverse.

Anyway, here are the findings:

49.1% of respondents said they had had their last "sexual event" in their home and 28.6% had sex in their partner's home. 7.2% had sex in a hotel or motel, 3.7% in a public space, and 1.6% in a vehicle.
Younger participants were more likely to have had sex in a vehicle and those over 40 and/or bisexual were more likely to have had sex in a hotel.

18% said they had sex with a boyfriend/partner, 19% with a casual/dating partner, and 17.3% with a friend.


Gay and bisexual men over the age of 60 reported the highest rates of arousal (80.8% and 84% respectively), while men 18 to 24 were most likely to report "little or no pleasure during the event" (11.9%).

The most common "sexual behavior" reported during the most recent "sexual event" was giving oral sex (75%), followed by kissing on the mouth (74.8%) and receiving oral sex (73.4%).

35.5% and 33.8% of participants engaged in receptive or insertive anal intercourse respectively. Receptive anal sex was most common among 18-24 year olds and insertive was most popular among 30-39 year olds.

5.9% of men reported "penile" pain when engaged in insertive anal sex (and of those who reported pain 82.3% said they only felt a "little") while 85.8% of those who had receptive anal sex said they felt little or no pain. Researchers also noted "The proportion of men reporting anal/rectal pain was less common among older age cohorts and pain was significantly more likely among men who self-identified as bisexual."


32.9% of participants used a condom during their last "sexual event" and 45.5% who said they had anal sex reported using a condom.


83.5% of respondents said they experienced an orgasm with those over 60 reporting the lowest percentages for achieving orgasm (72.9%). The study showed that men were "significantly more likely to report orgasm if their sexual partner was a relationship partner."

Republican Politician Bends Over for Grindr

Sometimes I wonder if it's a requirement for a Republican politician to be God-fearing, corporate loving and closeted. It feels like every other month some Republican is caught with his pants down (no pun intended). This week, our lucky winner is Puerto Rican senator Roberto Arango.

Last week, a Puerto Rican TV show Dando Candela found some very revealing pictures of Arango on the gay hook-up site, Grindr.

The TV show confronted Arango and instead of coming clean about it, he said this:

"You know I've been losing weight. As I shed that weight, I've been taking pictures. I don't remember taking this particular picture but I'm not gonna say I didn't take it. I'd tell you if I remembered taking the picture but I don't."

Okay, but how do you explain the bent over picture and the active Grindr account?

The interesting thing about Arango is in 2004, he was the vice-chair of George Puerto Rico campaign. That was also the campaign where Bush threatened a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage.

Oh Roberto...I'm sure we will see more "weight loss" pictures as time progress. Keep up the good work, senator.

A4A, Grindr, Bear 411... Let's Upgrade these Sites

Grindr, Scruff, Adam 4 Adam are just a few of the 50 gazillion sites where gays can meet (hook up).

 But I don't think they get to the heart of the matter. S,o I have some suggestions to upgrade these sites.

• Guys can't post just cock and butt pics. It has to be full body (with face) pics. Don't hide, if you want to do the 'booty booty' you should be completely upfront about it.
• Take the out the FRIENDS option. Let's be real, who is actually looking for 'friends' on Scruff? 
• There should be a minute clip of you in action. Meaning, you should be required to post a minute clip of you giving oral, dancing, having sex and whatnot. I think it would be nice to see what you are getting and if it's worth it.  I think about it, you can see if they have the skills or not. Think about the time and drama you can save.
• Only up-to-date pics. You can not post pics from 1998 in 2011, claiming that's how you look now.
• There should be a chart that shows everyone who you've hooked up with. Then, you would know if your ex, friend or uncle have slept with your possible f**k buddy.
• Location... True Location.
• Only OUT gays. No closeted or married men allowed.

Maybe they already do these things.  I just saw some of these sites for the first time (from my roommate during Netroots Nation).  But if they don't, I think they should. Hooking up should be completely on the real tip.

Well this was interesting. This survey analyzed 48,000 craigslist M4M headlines in 23 metropolitan areas. I just looked at the results and was a bit surprised with the findings, like:

If you didn't know, OUT magazine is still around and they just did a survey. When I got a look at it, I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow just a little.

Certain things were surprising to me, for example, many guys have had an open relationship. I mean I know guys do, but the numbers were higher than I thought. And many guys still do the good old role play stuff, I though that fazed out in the 90s.

Gay Sex Scandal: Pastor Eddie Long

The drama is coming today! Megachurch Pastor Eddie Long is dealing with a lawsuit, involving gay sex and international trips.

At least he taking them places, right? Here's more:

Two Georgia men have filed suit claiming that prominent Atlanta pastor Eddie Long coerced them into sex.

The suits, filed Tuesday in DeKalb County, Georgia, allege that Long used his position as a spiritual authority and bishop to coerce young male members and employees of his New Birth Missionary Baptist Church into sex.

"Defendant Long has a pattern and practice of singling out a select group of young male church members and using his authority as Bishop over them to ultimately bring them to a point of engaging in a sexual relationship," the suits allege.

Long is considered one of the nation's top black preachers.

The pastor took one plaintiff, Anthony Flagg, 21, on overnight trips to a half-dozen American cities in recent years, Flagg's suit alleges.

"Long shared a bedroom and engaged in intimate sexual contact with plaintiff Flagg including kissing, massaging, masturbating of plaintiff Flagg by defendant Long and oral sexual contact," the suit says.

Long took the other plaintiff, Maurice Murray Robinson, 20, to Auckland, New Zealand, in October 2008 for his 19th birthday and engaged in oral sex with him, Robinson's suit alleges.

"Following the New Zealand Trip, Defendant Long regularly engaged in sexual touching, and other sexual acts with Plaintiff Robinson," Robinson's suit alleges.

The Wrongful Death of DeFarra Gaymon

I'm late on this so I apologize...

Weeks ago DeFarra Gaymon was shot by Officer Edward Esposito in Newark's Branch Brook Park during an undercover investigation of a sex ring.

Here's the story:

Esposito shot 48-year-old DeFarra Gaymon on July 16, at about 6 p.m. after approaching the undercover detective while masturbating and soliciting sex, authorities said.

Esposito was patrolling the park with another officer as part of a sheriff's detail to curtail public sex in the park, sheriff's officials have said. Gaymon, who was unarmed, "appeared to panic" when Esposito showed his badge, authorities have said.

Gaymon shoved the officer to the ground and threatened to kill him, according to Essex County Acting Prosecutor Robert Laurino, citing the officer's statement to investigators. Prosecutors have said that there were no witnesses to the shooting.

Gaymon, who grew up in Montclair, graduated from Montclair High School and was married with four children, had driven to New Jersey from his home in Georgia to attend his high school’s 30th reunion. He had planned the event, which was to take place later that evening.

His sister, Kelly Gaymon Armstrong, has disputed the officer's version of events. "I do not believe that story. Not one bit. That is not my brother's character," she said.

Gaymon was shot once in the stomach and died at University Hospital at 9 p.m. He was buried in South Carolina on Saturday. Several family members are expected to travel to New Jersey this week to speak to investigators.

As you can imagine, this shook up Gaymon's family as well as the LGBT community in Newark. Now the authorities have suspended the undercover patrol.

Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura said this on Friday:

"We’ve temporarily suspended the undercover operation there, but we're increasing uniformed patrol at Branch Brook," he said. "It's on hold for now. We're looking to tweak it and make some adjustments." Fontoura declined to specify any specific changes regarding the operation — which cracks down on public lewdness and sexual activity at Newark's Branch Brook Park and South Mountain Reservation — but said, "there will be a full review."

Gaymon’s family want the FBI to get involved and Garden State Equality are also speaking out on the matter, saying:

"targeting gay men or LGBT people specifically, or anyone perceived as such, is unconscionable — and as we strongly believe, illegal."

As the story unfolds, I 'm sure it will bring out more on DeFarra's life. I hope his family is ready for this. My heart goes out to them.

George Rekers likes long Body Rubs

The male escort hired by anti-gay activist George Alan Rekers has told Miami New Times that the Baptist minister is a homosexual who paid him to provide body rubs, once a day, in the nude, during their ten-day vacation in Europe.

Rekers allegedly named his favorite maneuver the "long stroke" -- a complicated caress "across his penis, thigh... and his anus over the butt cheeks," as the escort puts it. "Rekers liked to be rubbed down there," he says.

In his first interview since New Times broke the story Tuesday, the 20-year old escort, who prefers to go by the name Lucien, contradicts Rekers's contentions that he hired the escort to help carry his luggage and that he was trying to save the soul of a lost sinner.

Although Rekers does have physical ailments that make it difficult for him to haul suitcases, Lucien wasn't hired to carry luggage on their European vacation, the escort says.

"It's a situation where he's going against homosexuality when he is a homosexual," Lucien says.

Lucien has no real reason to lie. He is an escort and that's what he does. Unlike Beau Breedlove, he not searching for a show or airtime. But I'm sure he won't turn it down.

Anywho, George needs to come clean and tell us how he likes to be waxed by skinny boys.
