Gay Sex on 'Glee'?

Kurt and Blaine (Great Hera, that name) may be having the awkward teen-aged sex soon.

In TV Line, Chris Colfer had this to say about this week's episode:

TVLINE | What was your reaction when you read the script for this week’s episode, “The First Time?”
Prior to getting the script Ryan approached Darren and I and told us that they were doing a virginity episode, and Darren and I just kind of looked at each other with wide eyes like, “Huh? What?’ And while we always have faith in the writers, we were a little skeptical. But then we got the script and shot it and everything was fine. What I thought could be raunchy and over-the-top was just very sweet and emotional. That’s kind of how it is with Glee. Ryan will come up and tell me they’re [tackling] this big, sensitive issue and I’ll freak out. But then I have no reason to freak out because it’s always handled really well.

TVLINE | Specifically, they wanted to know if you were shirtless during it. I broke the bad news to them that you were wearing a shirt. 
[Laughs] I was totally [prepared] to have to do a shirtless scene. Or at least wear like a tank [top] or something. I even asked if I could wear a tank and they said no.

TVLINE | Did they say why?
I think having two gay guys having sex on television was enough. They didn’t want to [reveal] a bunch of skin on top of it. I was like, “I want to wear a tank! Let me wear a tank!” [Ultimately], I wore a T-shirt.

 Will this be the scene of all scenes? I guess we will know soon.

Is Glee's Kurt getting a Boyfriend?

Rumors are spreading about Glee's upcoming season. Especially about Kurt's possible boyfriend.

Movieline thinks they have the deal:

After the jump, Movieline theorizes why the show’s newest addition, Chord Overstreet, will most likely be playing Kurt’s better half.

Deadline is reporting that after a wide talent search, Glee has cast iCarly’s Chord Overstreet in the recurring role of “Sam, a McKinley high school athlete who starts off as Finn (Cory Monteith)’s protégé but becomes his competition.” Sam will be introduced in the second season premiere on Sept. 21. Now, follow along with Movieline’s reasoning as to why Sam is probably Kurt’s boyfriend:

· Back in January, Ryan Murphy revealed that he was adding three recurring roles to the season two cast, including Kurt’s significant other. So far, Glee has already announced that John Stamos and Charice would join the cast in recurring capacities.

· In the same statement, Murphy explained that he was completing a nationwide search for the perfect boyfriend for Kurt. Overstreet was cast after a wide talent search.

· It later leaked that Kurt’s boyfriend will be a member of the McKinley High football team and if Sam is a high school athlete/protégé of Finn’s, he is probably on the football team… unless Finn joins the water polo team next season.

Are TV Gays Hurting Real Gays?

This is an interesting article from Newsweek.

Reporter, Ramin Setoodeh asks if Glee's Kurt, Adam Lambert and other gay reality stars are hurting our cause.

I will say that gays are slowly losing their originality in their looks, but I'm not sure if we are hurting our cause.

The problem with the Glee club is that Kurt and the rest are loud and proud, but their generation has turned down the volume. All this at a time when standing apart seems particularly counterproductive. Marriage (and the military) are sacred institutions, so it's not surprising that some heterosexuals will defend them against what they see as a radical alteration. But if you want to be invited to someone else's party, sometimes you have to dress the part. Is that a form of appeasement? Maybe. It's not that gay men and women should pretend to be straight, or file down all their fabulously spiky edges. But even Rachel Maddow wears lipstick on TV. The key is balance.
