“But with gay leaders kind of clueless about what to do, or still heady after the Supreme Court win, they’ve not organized the community. Many LGBT Americans aren’t even aware of what’s playing out. And the national media, too, appears to have blocked it out almost entirely, as these stories play under the radar. It’s not surprising then that national politicians aren’t talking about these alarming bills. They’re not getting any direction from a community that seems itself not to even notice how anti-LGBT bigots continue their crusade against equality right before our eyes.”source

Super-Hater Ken Hutcherson continues to blame NOM for losing the Gay Marriage battle
Ken Hutcherson is not backing off on his feelings towards NOM and their 'racist' ways. In an interview with Michelangelo Signorile, Ken just let it all out:
"I said to [the National Organization for Marriage], 'You think I’m controversial because I don’t look white,'” Ken Hutcherson, senior pastor of the Antioch Bible Church in Redmond, Wash. said this week, charging NOM with racism and blaming the group’s tactics and strategies for the gay marriage win at the ballot in his state on Election Day. “I don’t talk white. I don’t act white. And I am not that milquetoast-looking kind of guy that’s is going to be calm about everything. I’ve got a passion on what’s right. I’ve got a passion, and I will stand on what I think biblical principles are. If that’s controversial, then we’ve got a problem, and we’ll never win another election on anything.”Ken said that NOM believed him to be too extreme and he was side-lined by the organization.
He also said he was against NOM's race baiting tactics. However, if he really was against it, he should have spoke about it months ago.
Anywho, go here for the entire interview.

Interesting Quotes: GOP State Senator Stacey Campfield
In an interview with Michelangelo Signorile, Stacey had plenty of mess to say. Here's some quotes about AIDS:
"Most people realize that AIDS came from the homosexual community -- it was one guy screwing a monkey, if I recall correctly, and then having sex with men. It was an airline pilot, if I recall."This idiot is creator of the "Don't Say Gay" Bill
"My understanding is that it is virtually -- not completely, but virtually -- impossible to contract AIDS through heterosexual sex...very rarely [transmitted]."
"What's the average lifespan of a homosexual? it's very short. Google it yourself."

LISTEN to Michelangelo Signorile vs Christopher Barron
Lord, listen Christopher Barron lose his marbles in this interview with Michelangelo. I wish we could have seen this live.
Mike had this to say about the interview:
Chris Barron of the gay Republican group GoProud came on the show to talk about the CPAC conference and his group's participation, which initiated a boycott by some antigay groups and politicians. The audio of the interview, which was soon burning up Twitter because of his melt down,is below. Let me offer some context though. Barron has come on the show several times in he past. My program was among the first media outlets to give his group any attention when it first broke off from the Log Cabin Republicans. We've had spirited but respectful discussion, as we disagree on just about everything. He seemed to revel in it, enjoying the back and forth, and certainly was not as angry and defensive as he is in this interview.
Not only did GoProud always come on the show when asked -- either Jimmy LaSalvia or Barron would come on -- but they reached out to my producer to come on the show at other times when we did not ask and we declined, as it wasn't the best time or was not about something we were interested in. I say that because Barron outright lied in this interview, claiming that he often doesn't come on my show (implying I asked and he declined), supposedly because of the way I treat him. That's when I ended the interview. I'm not going to put up with a liar who had clearly become flustered because he was caught in a contradiction so now was changing the subject.
Go here to listen to the mad interview. Oh Chris, you need a hug.

So, Why is Dan Choi going to CPAC?
Through out the week, I've posted tweets from Dan Choi about CPAC and how he's been palling with the 'enemy', Christopher Barron.
Well, Michelangelo Signorile interviewed Dan about attending this event, and you can hear it here.
However, I think it's interesting that Dan spat in the faces of the folks who were on his side, but causally chills with the people who thinks his rights should be delayed or denied.

Is Mark Buse a Friend or Foe?

Mark Buse is John McCain's new campaign manager. In fact he has been with McCain for years (80s), working as an aide and later, the chief of staff.
But the kicker about all of this, Buse is suppose to be gay.
John McCain's longtime staff member Mark Buse has been named as head of the senator's reelection campaign.
Buse, a gay man, has worked for McCain since the 1980s, when he served as an intern for the then-House member. Buse rose through the ranks, eventually becoming chief of staff to the Arizona senator.
Mark was outed by Michelangelo Signorile, using this video and personal info as proof:
Mark is working with McCain, so he knows every move he makes, including the moves against us.
I have to ask, if Mark is for us or against us?
I am curious to see how all this plays out. This would be so wrong if Mark is openly gay and openly supports a man who could care less about our happiness.
Thanks to Joe.My.God for this discussing this issue

Interesting Quote: Barney Frank

"The president is leading. You don't wait for the president to go out and lobby. The NRA doesn't wait for the president to go out and lobby. … You think the president has a magic wand? [Waiting for the president to force a vote] is exactly why we're going to lose. The community does less lobbying than any other group … and sits around and whines because other people aren't delivering it for us."

CNN's Heated Debate on Obama Gay Rights Speech
Michelangelo, that statement about HRC and the people who not represented in that room is STUPID. Because the non-white LGBT community strongly stands with the president. Check your facts, Mike.

So This is what Barney Frank said yesterday about NEM

Yesterday on Michelangelo Signorile radio show, Barney had some interesting things to say about the National Equality March, Michelangelo posted this on his site:
Barney Frank believes the march this weekend and rally on the mall are "useless" and don't put pressure on the White House. "I literally don't understand how this will do anything," he said. "People are kidding themselves. I don't want people patting themselves on the back for doing something that is useless." Besides, he says, "Barack Obama does not need pressure." He says we should model ourselves as lobbyists on "the National Rifle Association." He says people should not come to Washington and should stay home and lobby their members of Congress. "Nobody in Congress even knows they're there, he says, and he is not attending the March: He is going to California to raise money for himself and other Democrats.

Get a new schtick, Michelangelo Signorile and Charles Moran !
We are dealing with the health care crisis, folks carrying guns at town hall meetings, and preachers willing to have us killed for Jesus and all you can talk about is how the White House is slow on its promises?
Michelangelo and Charles, I know y'all are passionate about us, I am too, but we ain't amazons in Paradise Island. We are a part of this country and a part of this crisis. These issues affect us too!
I'm almost hurt to watch this clip because it's like NOTHING else matters but DADT and DOMA.
Michelangelo and Charles, get off your high-heeled horse for 2 seconds. Sitting up there, talking about "Madonna remix in the East Room of the White House", comes off like you two are way out of touch with the bigger picture.
Get off the horse and get over yourselves.
