North Carolina: A Gay Couple lost their Home to Arson

In Johnston County,  a gay couple who had been the target of anti-gay harassment for over a year, lost the home to arson.

Here's the story:

The couple, who did not want to be identified out of fear for their safety, is staying in a motel after fire ripped through their house in the Winston Pointe subdivision, off Guy Road, around 1:30 a.m. Friday.


They were out of town when the fire was set. A neighbor reported it.


The fire is being investigated as an arson, said Johnston County Sheriff Steve Bizzell, but he said it does not appear to be related to a string of suspicious fires in the area.


A neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous for fear of backlash against her, said there have been at least three separate incidents of anti-gay harassment at the home. A note with derogatory language was left in the mailbox, an anti-gay slur was written on the house with marker, and the tires of a car parked in the garage were slashed, the neighbor said.


"For this to happen here... it's heartbreaking," she said. "I can't even put into words how horrible it is for them."

Horrible! Hopefully, the cops will find who the assholes are.

A Lesbian Couple's home Burned Down by Haters

Carol and Laura Stutte came home to find their house destroyed by fire. Then to add insult to injury, they saw the word "queers" spray painted on their garage.

The couple feels they're victims of a hate crime, and were targeted because they're gay. They've been together for more than 15 years.

Carol Stutte has an adult daughter from a previous relationship who also lived with them.

At the time of the fire, they were in Nashville celebrating their fifth anniversary in Tennessee.

"My daughter was supposed to be here. She was sick," Carol Stutte said. "I was grateful my baby girl didn't get killed in this fire. She would have been trapped in the basement." The couple moved to Vonore from Oklahoma.

Carol Stutte says her partner is too afraid to come back to the property since the fire. She says they've been harassed all five years they've lived there by one neighbor.

This is another example of foolishness in my home state.

A future site of a Mosque was set on fire in Tennessee

Why are they clowning in my home state?

In Murfreesboro, Tennessee, someone set the Mosque's site ground on fire.

"The evidence is being analyzed to see what the origin of the fire was," Keith Moses, an assistant special agent with the FBI in Nashville, told CNN Sunday. "We have to follow the facts."

The fire, which struck early Saturday morning at the future site of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro, is under investigation by the FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office.

The fire consumed an earth mover and damaged three other vehicles, according to Camie Ayash, a spokesperson for the mosque. Ayash said that the Mufreesboro Fire Department told her that the vehicles had been doused with an accelerant.

Accelerants are substances that help start or spread fires.

A call to the Mufreesboro Fire Department on Sunday evening was not answered.

"It really put fear into the community," Ayash said.

"Our children are heartbroken," she said. "When we broke ground a few weeks ago, they could see the new Islamic center as something that was tangible, something that was going to happen."

"Now someone had so much hatred to rip the joy out of their hearts," she said.

This is a mess. I hope they find the fools who did this.

Somebody Tried to set the Mormon Temple on Fire!

This is interesting... LA Times has reported at someone tried to burn up the Mormon Temple in Westwood (one of my favorite areas in L.A.)

Los Angeles police Wednesday released video footage of a suspect caught on tape in May as he allegedly tried to set fire to a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The suspect, carrying a backpack of combustible material and a thermos cup, walked onto church property at 10777 Santa Monica Blvd. on May 17 and tried to enter a locked door, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The man was unable to get inside the Westwood temple. Three hours later, a suspicious fire broke out in the church's garden area, according to the LAPD.

The video footage shows a man with a backpack walking up to a door at the temple. The LAPD did not say how it obtained the footage or how it was shot. The suspect appeared to be in his late 20s, police said, and was wearing a red T-shirt and blue jeans.

I wonder who this man is?

Did The Gays Really set a Church on Fire?

Somebody burned up Palin's church and guess who they're blaming...not Dr. Marlena Evans on the left, but us...the gays.

Wasilla Bible Church was hit with old fashioned arson this Friday and the damages are up to $1 million dollars! That's a lot of tithes.

But how are we to blame? Well, in some reports the reasons vary, however one reason remains consistent. For example, AP says:

Early in Palin’s campaign, the church was criticized for promoting in a Sunday bulletin a Focus on the Family “Love Won Out Conference” in Anchorage. The conference promised to “help men and women dissatisfied with living homosexually understand that same-sex attractions can be overcome.”

So that equals us burning down the church? Child cheese, we didn't do that. It was Friday night, the last place we would be is at a church. But if they want to point fingers, they may want to start with the witches. Yes, I said witches.

Remember, Palin's church had the Witch doctor/hunter, Thomas Muthee, who's been known to hunt a few witches every other week. I guess it was payback time for the Samanthas.

But on a serious note, no one was hurt in the fire.
