No more than Tiger Woods, or John Edwards, or Shaquille O'Neal, or Britney Spears, or John Ensign, or David Vitters, or Ted Haggard, should hurt anyone's argument for the sanctity of opposite-sex marriage. I'm sure they'll use it as a weapon, but we should then turn a mirror on them to show them the hypocrisy of their "movement".
People say it shouldnt and it may even redefine what it means to be married. It is hell enough trying to get our rights to get married, let alone fighting for polygamy too. Once they get the right to marry...the thruples (3 in a rela) gonna wanna get married too. Ugh...I have so many issues with that but ok.....I guess....one big gay party as usual....
If it does hurt our fight, it is because many of the people throwing stones at us are hypocrites. Straight relationships have a rainbow of variety as well. If we brought the cameras into their bedrooms, I'm sure we would find they are much more diverse than everyone thinks.
