Days Of Our Lives makes History hosting the First Same-Sex Marriage on a Soap Opera

My favorite Soap Opera makes history next week by hosting Will and Sonny's wedding. The storyline will happen in 3 episodes! Will Horton and Sonny Kiriakis will be married by another fan favorite... Marlena Evans! There will be more surprises as the wedding unfolds.

Here's a sneak peek

George H.W. Bush serves as a witness at a Gay Wedding

Wow, this pic is no lie.

Former President George H.W. Bush and his wife Barbara were official witnesses to the wedding of Bonnie Clement and Helen Thorgalsen. Helen posted this pic above on her Facebook page.

This is really something to see. This is a Bush doing this.

I guess the times are a'changing.

Florist to Longtime Gay Customer: Jesus won't allow me to do your Wedding

This is a story for you.

Barronelle Stuzman, a flower shop owner, told Robert Ingersoll that she would not do his flowers for his wedding because it's sinful.
"I just took his hands, and I said, I'm sorry, I can't do your wedding because of my relationship with Jesus Christ."

The X-Men Gay Wedding Hype is Boosting Orders

The hype over the possible gay wedding in the Astonishing X-Men is clearly paying off. The orders for their 50th issue is booming big time.

Bleeding Cool reports:
This week, Marvel’s new incentives to retailers to increase their orders of Astonishing X-Men #50, with an eye to selling it a day early, with a large media presence for the presumed gay wedding issue, has seen advance reorders of the book rocket to the top of the chart, with the Create Your Own cover for issue 51 also getting traction.

Remember, this is often the only way retailers can order second and third prints of a book, so their prescence on the chart is exaggerated, as is Hit Girl, hich was missed off the original order form and can also only be ordered in this fashion.
This is great! It's always nice to know that the Gay geeks are becoming a strong force.

Miss Aretha Franklin Sang at a Gay Wedding

The Queen of Soul sung to a gay couple at their wedding this past Sunday night:
The Sunday night wedding of the two men and its after-party drew an illustrious guests that included Barbara Walters, Joel Grey, Gayle King, former New York governor David Paterson, and former New York City mayor David Dinkins. Franklin performed stirring renditions of “I Will Always Love You,” “I Say a Little Prayer,” and “Respect.”
This could be a new career move for Aretha.

Don't Spread Your Gay-Hate/Poor Women of the World mess on your Work Email

Fools will never learn.

Those gay wedding pictures I posted yesterday, was a hit on the blogs. However, they were a miss to some folks who just had to give their sorry ass opinion.

Sandra Bradley, who's an administrative assistant for Morehouse College President Robert Franklin (who is very gay friendly BTW) sent a email that said:

“I can’t believe this wedding. It’s 2 men. They don’t smile in a lot of pictures and they look like a few brothers I’ve seen in the streets looking STRAGHT. Black women can’t get a break, either our men want another man, a white woman (or other nationality that’s light with straight hair), they are locked up in jail or have a “use to be” fatal disease. I’m beginning to believe Eve was a black woman and we Black women are paying for all the world’s sins through her actions (eating the apple)".

President Franklin found out about this mess and will address his office on this issue. It has been reported that several people were upset at Sandra for sending this email, and I would be too.

Girl, just because you are not happy doesn't mean you need to hate on them for celebrating their good stuff.

Sandra, please know this... Their marriage is not about taking some fantasy man from you or Black women. Please grow up and... Get a man.
