Cops search for the Attacker(s) of a Transgender woman

In Hollywood, a Transgendered woman was attacked almost near the cross streets of LaBrea & Melrose. Cops are looking for the attacker(s)

Los Angeles police investigators continued their search Thursday for five suspects in connection with an attack on a transgender woman in Hollywood that left the 25-year-old victim bloodied and battered with a broken jaw and cheekbone.

The victim had just left a bar near the intersection of La Brea and Melrose avenues early on the morning of Oct. 1 when she was attacked by three women and two men. According to witnesses, the attackers were beating and kicking the victim in the middle of the street, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Mitzi Grasso.

The victim was kicked in the face and was hit on the head with a bottle, leaving cuts on the victim's neck.

The victim lives in the San Fernando Valley. Police have not yet classified the attack as a hate crime but said the investigation was continuing, said Grasso, who called the attack "unusually vicious."

The suspects fled in a white Chevy Suburban. Anyone with information is asked to call the LAPD Wilshire Division's Major Assault Crimes Section at (213) 922-9234 or (213) 922-8268. 

This should be considered a hate crime.

A transgender student was attacked at Houston Community College

I feel like this is a pattern.

Fox News in Houston reports:

A transgender student was attacked at knife-point and beaten at Houston Community College and some are calling it a hate crime.

The true motive is still murky, since the suspect also stole the victim’s wallet.

But as a result, Lance Reyna is sorting out stolen credit cards and shaken nerves.

Reyna was born a female but began the gender reassignment process about five years ago.

On Tuesday afternoon, at HCC’s central campus, Reyna used the restroom. He was washing up at the sink when he says a man grabbed him in a headlock, calling out in a mocking voice, “Hey, queer.”

“I was about to say, ‘Okay, cut it out, Brandon,’ or whoever it was like one of my friends,” says Reyna. “Then all of a sudden he put a razor to my neck.”

Reyna remembers panicking as the stranger warned him to be quiet and cooperate.

“I was scared, I really was scared. He had the blade up there and he kind of made little strokes like he was going to cut me. And I'm just like, well, let me tuck my chin in so that way I don't bleed to death.”

Transgender Student attacked on California State University, Long Beach campus

This is sad news to share.

A transgendered student was attacked in a bathroom at California State University, Long Beach campus last week.

Authorities say that the 27-year-old victim was approached in a campus bathroom April 15.

According to police, the suspect pulled the victim's T-shirt over his head, pushed him into a stall, and then slashed his chest with a sharp object. The attacker then fled the area.

The victim was treated at a hospital and released. Police believe the attack was an isolated incident.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a thin build and dark colored hair. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with dark khaki shorts.
